Hi, my son is 20 weeks today and has always fed really well. I upped his bottles to 8oz (5 times a day) 3 weeks ago and up until now has been drinking it all, now for the past 2 days every bottle he has been leaving about 2oz in every bottle. He is still sleeping through the night and is content i just dont understand why he has stopped drinking as much. Has anyone experienced this? is it a sign he is ready for weaning? teething? Im starting to get worried about why he has started doing this. Thank you to anyone that replies

Babies' needs change constantly. It might have been that a couple of months ago he was going through a big growth or development spurt so he needed the extra milk, or maybe he was actually taking too much. You never know! Just follow his lead - if you feed on demand he will take what he needs, no more and no less, which is great for his health and his future. It could also be that he's feeling a bit under the weather, maybe a cold or a little bug, but obviously he doesn't want/need the extra so I'd just keep offering. If he drains bottles again add a little more but if he's not, don't.
