So at 10 weeks old, Mickey has been feeding at 8pm ish, then at maybe 1/2am and then again at 5/6am. Not too bad at all! But for the last two nights he has skipped the middle feed and gone from 8pm until 6am. Where most mothers would be celebrating, I am worried. Is he getting enough milk? I remember in the early days being told he should nurse at least 8 times a day. Without writing down every feed, I really cant be sure he does feed 8 times a day now. His day feeds have spaced out to 2/3 hourly but if hes asleep it could be longer. He is weeing and pooing fine and at his last weigh in he had gained 1lb in 12 days. But he is only between 9th and 25th centile for his weight and I really dont want him to be taking a nose dive with his weight gain as he has dropped from 75th at birth due to a bad first four weeks where we just couldn't get the hang of bf. Obviously I don't want to start waking him for feeds at night and in my head I know that if he was hungry he would wake for food earlier. But im a bit of a worrier I'm afraid! Someone tell me it's ok! X

My last baby did this- he started sleeping through at 10 weeks and would have 5 or 6 feeds a day every three hours between 7-7pm. He was also between the 9th-25th after dropping from above the 5oth at birth.

He was quite content and continued to steadily gain weight and meet all his milestones, I was just extremely lucky that he was a good sleeper and I really don't think you should worry if he is peeing and pooping as you say and happy- just hope it continues for you :)

As for weight loss, i have found all my babies drop down the chart until they find their 'line' so to speak. They never stick to their birth line although i appreciate it is worrying for you after a rough start he might pick up again or he might just be set to be a smaller lad. xx

If you are worried (which it sounds like you are) then I would just monitor it. See if his weight is not dropping over the next couple of weeks. Tbh, I would think your milk supply is fine and he may just be much more efficient at getting it in the day. You could time and count his feeds but I found that made me worry more?!?

I know it's hard but I would highly suggest relaxing a bit and enjoy the sleep? If he is having plenty of wet nappies and seems happy in himself then I would go with the flow :flower:

Hope that helps and anything I said doesn't offend anyone! X

Thanks ladies.

Tee hee rose, I am not even remotely offended!! Xx

at 10wks id be happy for the sleep personally, my eldest was sttn from 6wks, second was 11wks ( though he stopped doing that at 4 month sleep regression and i had another 4 months of broken nights ) and ds3 was down to one wake up between 9pm- 7am by 6-7wks they all fed nice and long in the day so i wasnt worried
