I'm 37+1 and I'm pretty sure baby is oblique position which has her head in my.left hip.and bum under my right ribs. This is my 4th baby and my daughter never engaged in my pelvis until I was.literally ready to push. But she was directly head down (sunny side up at start of labor and moved during). Anyway, wondering if anyone else has experienced this?? I am hoping its not a problem and I can still have a vaginal birth.

Yep DS2 persistently oblique when palpated, although I beleive he was more head down when I was stood up. I did some spinning babies inversions, not sure if that helped or not?
Anyway his head dropped in a few days before labour which was 38w and he wasn't back to back like DS1 (bonus!)

This one also also favouring oblique when I lie down in my back, but I feel feet in my ribs or above my belly button when sitting or standing x

Yes, my youngest stayed stubbornly oblique right up until delivery. I was able to birth her vaginally without pain medication. It really depends on your health care provider, your previous labor experiences, and how baby is handling things as to whether or not vaginal delivery will be in the cards. Wishing you a beautiful birth!

Yep this baby is oblique...neither of my other 2 engaged until late in labour, even my first!

I think im in the same boat too! My doctors aren't all that worried yet.

Did you go into labor naturally?/
My 3rd didn't engage until just before pushing. But I had to be induced. And since I don't want the pain medication I really don't want an induction. My last labor was horrible with being induced and no meds. So I'm hoping for it to be a bit easier! Maybe wishful thinking lol

Nope - DD1 was induced at 38 weeks and DD2 at 39 weeks - both times due to GD.

I have GD this time but very well managed and no meds, normal (small) sized baby and normal fluid so no induction until +12-14. I have no signs at all so I'm not optimistic about it hapenning to be honest.

I don't know why my kids hate engaging!?

I'm thinking same for me. I don't really dialate or anything before labor. My labors are pretty quick so I guess I can't complain. :) but I'm pretty sure this lo will be over due. Which I'm actually ok with because I feel pretty good. Hopefully I can manage the pain ok if I have to be induced.

I also feel very well and happy. I've worked so hard to manage my diabetes to not be induced. It will be a blow if that is what needs to happen :nope:

Hope.you.don't have to be induced too! One good thing about baby not engaging is I don't have all that pressure. My first engaged about two weeks before I went into labor and it was crazy.pressure!
