Well me and hubby been thinking of goin away before baby comes in August but we just not sure where and what lol

any ideas? Xx

If you fancy Scotland, Edinburgh and Glasgow are great for city breaks. If you want something quieter and more sedate, Highlands/Aviemore/Pitlochrie have some stunning scenery. Down South, I love Dorset and Cornwall. St Albans is lovely and steeped in history, also has some really fancy hotels! Xxx

I was looking at hiring a cottage during the summer either in the lakes or Cornwall. Rural retreats have some lovely cottages x

Somewhere with lovely shops, history and traditional pubs for hubby is york it is gorgeous

Harrogate in north Yorkshire is a lovely place or Anglesey in Wales has lovely weather in the summer.

We went to a caravan at the side of loch Tay a week before I went into labour with ds.
We're going there again at Easter. It's only 1 1/2 from us, don't fancy driving more than 4 hours when heavily pregnant.

We rented a cottage in st Ives, Cornwall, when I was 8 months preg with my lo. It was the best holiday we have had! Loved every minute of it. Cornwall really is gorgeous and the beaches are fantastic.
I loved renting the cottage, it was gorgeous and we had a choice of eating in or going out and had the comforts of a cosy living room unlike hotels and B&B's.
I also love caravan holidays. Haven Holidays have some nice sites down in Cornwall and its great having the swimming pools/bars/restaurants etc.
I want a holiday now lol

Myself and my partner are heading up to the lakes for a week. It is lovely up there, they have some gorgeous luxury hotels and lots of lovely walks in the local areas.

We have booked a week in Blakeney, north norfolk. It is somewhere I went as a child and have always wanted to show my husband. I will be 30 weeks when we go and am dreaming of sunny days by the sea just enjoying being pregnant and spending time with hubby Fingers crossed the weather co- operates!!!

i was going to suggest York too - we went earlier in the week and really enjoyed it - one of the plus points is its fairly flat so easy to get around and there are lots of cafes for breaks

I'm also due August and we're trying to plan a trip away too :)

I suppose it depends on how much travelling you want to do and whether you want a city break, country or seaside?

Personally I'd really like a seaside holiday. We're thinking either Cornwall or the Channel Islands. We'd fly if we went to the Channel Islands, but it is a really short flight. Should hopefully be relatively sunny too, with lovely beaches. Am really gagging for a foreign holiday but I don't want to go too far.

We are planning to go to Brighton.

Edinburgh and Glasgow are really nice city breaks. York is good for shopping. I 'm not so keen on the Lake District and prefer Peak District, which is much more rugged. Wales is also really nice.

I'd avoid cornwall in August. Its over priced, too busy and traffic getting in and out is a nightmare. I live here and think its an amazing place when its quieter but I would not find it relaxing being heavily pregnant here in the summer especially in the seaside towns. We are actually looking at moving away from the seaside towns (we live in Newquay). I'm very glad baby is due begining of May because I wouldn't want to be stuck in traffic when heavily pregnant and unfortunately you spend a lot of time in traffic in Cornwall during the summer. I think I'd go for something in the countryside to relax either the Lake or Peak District.
