My husband and I have had a baby girl's name picked out for a long time...we chose Rian Leah..however we are really struggling with a boys name. I like different names but not too crazy or trendy. Any suggestions??

That's funny...we have a boy's name all ready (Sean Thomas), but have no clue about a girl...

And for some reason, we've been referring to it as a "she." We don't really know what it is...it might be mother's intuition (I think i was the first one to call it "she" and DH just picked up on it), or it might be that we've been spending so much time looking at girls names that it's just what's on our mind.

But this weekend we did go look at paint chips for the nursery! It's going to be a nice creamy, buttery, yellow with light green trim! It was so much fun!

We're the same as ChefSara77, we have a boy's name already (Gabriel Michael), but have no clue on girls names.

We have fleeting girls names but none seem right!

I saw babies HB today for the 1st and I just thought Oh hello baby Noah!! If it's a girl I like Angelica & Eden Rose.

Names are difficult...I mean, it's something your child will live with forever! DH and I have also learned that sometimes a name will strike you as a good name, then you think about it a bit, and it just doesn't seem right...an example: I really like the name Juliana. We both do...But after thinking about it, I still like the name, but it just doesn't seem to fit for our daughter (if that's what it is...). Somehow, Caitlyn, Kathryn, Evelyn, Lydia, Helen, Erin, Shannon all fit better. Though none of them strikes us as "just right" the way Sean Thomas does...But, I guess we still have another 7.5 months to figure it out...and who knows, maybe we'll find out it's a boy, and we won't have to worry!!

Well I think we've got a boys name and a girls.......

Lilly Maddison
Christian Scott

We're having a little bit of a tough time with boy names too. I want Trent but he's not into it but I persistant. If it's a boy he will be named Trent Victor and a girl Victoria Dacia.

I like your names

My husband and I have talked about names, but nothing set in stone (too early). For girls, I like Zoey, Falen and he likes Kadence. For boys we like Logan, Lias, and Chase. It is very difficult trying to pick names cause it's going to be their name all of their life. some of the names that we like sound very similar to people in our family and we don't want that. I guess we'll keep looking.

One of my best friends is 38 weeks and still hasn't come up with a name, so I started to get freaked out and I thought of a boy and girl name and hubby liked them so we have them.

I really like the name Cooper, but our last name is Italian so he can't go with trendy/different names because they sound stupid.

ChefSara, your nursery is the exact same colors as mine! You have good taste!

Try mythology or play names, they're very nice and old. Which tend not to be used as often. My husband and I have very common names lol Jeremiah and Jennifer. So we decided to name our children something unique. Our son's name is Drake Salvador and this new baby will either be Leonidas Tyr or Sorcha Morgana. :happydance:

DH said if it's a girl I can name her whatever I wish. If its' a boy he wants him to be named Dakota William. I'm not sure I dig that name entirely but I'm not going to divorce him over it... lol. He can have whichever he wishes.

My name though is Shiann (pronounced Cheyenne) and my daughter is Sheridan so I guess he'll fit into the family pretty good.

:headspin:

Good luck choosing names.....we struggled with that one! x

I have given names SOOO much thought. I've never been too crazy about my name, and i've always wanted to give my little girl a really feminine name. I want a manly name for a little boy too. I have 2 main names that i'm thinking about for a girl, but several different middle names. We have several names we're thinking of for a boy, and all boy mn's are interchangable pretty much. Mine and hubby's last name started with a K, so L names seem to fit the best.

Girl:
Leia Grace
Leia Lucille
Leia Ann
Leia Kathryn
or

Lucie/Lucilla Ann
Lucie/Lucilla Grace
Lucie/Lucilla Jean
Lucie/Lucilla Kathryn

Boy:
Alexander(Xander) Wayne
Gabriel Douglas
Wyatt
Luke/Lukas
James
Tyler (iffy)

Looks like we have some MAJOR thinking to do :p Good thing i have 7.5 months to figure this out, or i'd be in some major trouble.

OMG!!! Is there anyone out there that has given absolutely no thought whatsoever to names? I seriously have given no thought at all to any kind of name - am I the only one? I think I´d better get cracking!!

We have a a boy and a girls name picked but i aint 100% sure yet.....

we keep thinking of names and then find something up with it, like it rhymes with something and think they will be picked on at school!

It does feel early for me to be thinking about this, but anyway:

I love Kitty for a girl
And Toby for a boy.
Not sure though. It is hard as I have a boy and a girl already, and we gave them our first choice names. So it is hard to think of a fresh new name to go with our surname.

Part of our dilemma with a boys name is that both me and my hubby promised our dads we would name our first son after them...so the baby's middle names( if it's a boy) has to be Victor Bernard. So we need a first name that will go with those names.

This might be of some help https://www.babynamegenie.com/baby-first-names/
You type in the middle names and it gives you first names

Mu husband and I have two boys so when I was prego with them we made BIG lists. My first son is Julian Isais, my second is Simon Elia Max. We don't know this baby's sex yet but we have chosen a few boy names... Liam, Ezra and Colin. I also like Lucas and Henry for middle names. We are a bilingual family (French/english) so we have to find something that is nice in both languages and that can be pretty hard. Oh and I also like Cedric!

Good luck on the name search!!
