Baby Nicknames....

kind of dawned on me today that poor Marcus gets his nickname more than his real name! His nickname is Moses- it's been his nickname since he was born as he often raises his hands and pulls them down and to the side in a really slow motion when hes asleep and it looks like hes parting the sea-like a really lazy startle reflex!

My LO's name is Holly and I'm always calling her Hollybob. It's totally the midwives fault as she kept calling her that after she was born and now it's just stuck with me! My husband keeps telling me she's going to think her name is Hollybob, so I really do need to try and get out of this habit!

Corey gets called everything from "little pokemon" to "bubbadoo". Usually he only gets called Corey when we're trying to get his attention, he knows his name but the cutesy nicknames are hard to break !

I call him a lot of weird things that just slip out sometimes. But usually I call him pumpkin butt, booboo, or little man.

We call LO 'Chubby Cheeks'. We also called her 'Stevie' back when she was a couple of weeks old as she would move her head around like Stevie Wonder when she started lifting her head.

Micah's nickname is ridiculous! Basically I call OH 'Tigger' and he calls me 'Hippo'... so Micah has the unfortunate amalgamation 'Tiggerpotamus'!!! Sometimes just 'potamus' or 'TP'...

He's going to hate us isn't he!?

My lo gets called very random names the other day I called her booby?? Haha but she usually gets called georgie bean, or georgous, I remember once with my first I was calling her to get her attention there were alot of people about as there was a bowling match on and instead of calling her munchkin like I usually did I ended up calling her maggot??!!!! Really don't know where it came from and my husband won't let me live it down even though it was 3 years ago lol xx

I call my lo tomater(tomatoe) because when she gets angry she turns redd and she has a chubby round face lol...i call her soni (beautiful)..angel...sweety..chunky panda....motti (chubby) and main one tiddli just.because we have gotten use to calling her that since she was in my belly

I've always referred to Lily as Lily-Pop, and my one year old niece only picked up the last part so she calls her Pop. This has stuck and now most of the family call her Pop. It may stick for life!! Lol. The other day my niece was eating a chocolate lollipop and I asked her where her lollipop was.. And she pointed into Lily's buggy - so cute! X

Haha, now that I think about it I call my girl Grumpy Bear a lot of the time. It wasn't an intentional nickname but it just kinda fits

I call Callum "bug" and OH calls him "Cal Pal". At least OH's nickname for him has his name in it, haha.

I call my LO Monkey more than his actual name, & he laughs at my phone app when it show him a monkey pic, says monkey & makes a monkey noise- I swear he thinks it's his name!!

Also dh & I often refer to him as grumble bum when he mutters & grumbles or is grisly.

DD had jaundice and was VERY orange for the first few weeks. The doctors kept talking about the biliruben levels blah blah blah. Anyways, we started calling her Billy...we probably called her Billy for 2-3 months. I finally thought we should make an effort to call her by her name so that she starts to recognize her own name.
