Baby Nicknames....

Lily's real name is Lillian so I suppose Lily is her nickname :) A lot of the family calls her Lily-Bug. Personally, I intended on calling her "Lily-Put" for a really nerdy reason. She's very short, only in the 25th percentile, so it's a reference to Lilliput from Gulliver's Travels.

Ours is very very weird - I'm almost too embarrassed to say it. We call him Beeks :) it;s short for baby beekins which was his name when he was in my tummy - do not ask me why but I have started to make a real affort to call him his real name as I am worried he won;t know what it is :)

My Sean gets called "Bomney" more than Sean as that is what my older son called him(he couldn't pronounce baby-but can now :) x

I call my daughter- monkey or monkey butt (she has a pair of pants that have a monkey on the bum and the name kind of stuck lol) bub or bubby

frog mouse... dont ask!lol also princess snush and baby bear :)

Lol cute thread.

Lo's name is Zoey. Her nicknames are Zuzu, Z, ZiZi, Zoya, and booboo. She responds to all of these names.

Ethan is 'Pickle' which is going to be hard to explain to him later on :haha:
He wasn't really a planned baby  and I was having a bit too much fun as a boozy student before I found out I was pregnant so I was terrified I'd pickled him! My mum started calling him the pickled egg and 'Pickle' has stuck lol

my nickname is zizi!it means willy in french :( lol

We call him so many things. :dohh: I've been calling him William a lot more often for the last 2 months, just the full name because I want him to get used to that but..

Liam (what we initially wanted to name him, but it's now a nickname)
Bubba
Bubs
Bubble (we call him this way too much :haha: )
Bubble bear
Silly Willy
Boobear
Booboo
Little man/Big guy (conflicting, I know)
MIL calls him Will or Willy/Billy
Pooper
Stinky butt
Fussbutt

Way too many. I'm amazed he even responds to his name at all. :haha: We actually use all of them a good amount too, but try to use William instead.

DS's name is Nathaniel and he's called Nat most of the time (or in public anyway). But we call him Noodle at home, or Noodlebum.

DS is called Charlotte but we call her Dottie. Charlotte....Lottie....Dottie.....!!

We call Teagan 'Teagan Tiger' or 'Baby Bear'

My brother used to call me Albie when he was little, because he couldn't say my real name. Over the years it stuck, but turned into Bee.. And it's still used today! All my family and my OH call me Bee (hence the username!) and I love having a unique name.. Don't know if LO will appreciate her nicknames as much. :haha:

I call my daughter Milliepops.
My son calls her minniepops
Lol x

My LO totally gets this:

Her name is Anastasia, but we have never called her that. Her main nickname is Anya, everyone calls her that.

However, when I was pregnant, OH called her 'Professor Harrowitz', and I called her 'Kitty' (from her middle name Katherine)

But now, she gets called Bum (which my sister also calls her, Mim (which I call her constantly - Marvellous Mad Madam Mim from The Sword in the Stone), Mimington, Mim-a-lim, Mimlet, monkeybutt, pudding, fathead (OH), stinker (OH), plopper (OH), pumpkin, honey, sweetheart, Excited Annie, funny face, chutchy Bum, chutch, bublet, bubs, bubalub, bubletbutt, baba, babalub, Anya-banana, Anya-panya-Bananya, Anya-noodle, noodlebum, duckface, baby drunkard (she's starting to try to walk), little lady.... I could carry on, but I don't think I'd ever stop!
xx

Amelia is Mops. Amelia>Millie>Millie Mops>Mops. But Fin calls her Baba... And so do we a lot of the time.

Fin gets called lots. Bum Bum. Cheeseball. Goober Goofball. Goober. Goobs. Little bear. Baby bear. Monkey bum. Monkey butler. Brainiac. Genius.

Jordyn is

Monkey Doodles LMAO!
Monkey
Peanut
Jordie! lol
Jordster!

I call him a lot of weird things that just slip out sometimes. But usually I call him pumpkin butt, booboo, or little man.

LMAO pumpkin butt! I may have to steal that!!

WE call Simon boo-boo since the day he was born...then he got "simey", then "slimey"...the "slime-er" (from Ghostbusters) and that one stuck too...

Doesn't it feel ridiculous when you actually write them down?? I never realized how silly these names were until you actually SEE them! :haha:

I have burrito (looooves swaddles), goof nugget, and little terror. I call my best friends daughter professor x(her name is xavi)

My sis that recently passed, is Sara. the youngest sis could never say that when she was little, it always came out Sa-aa, as in she never said the R sound.21 yrs later, she was always Saa.

Never used nicknames on my son when younger, we'd refer to him as "hippo" though. He was born over 9lbs and was always in 75-90 centile for height and weight. His first word even was "hungry"! He just heard us say that so much when he was little...are you hungry?,lol! I didn't want to confuse him with a nickname, and Riley you can't really shorten. However, I do call him "Buddy" or "Bud" sometimes.

This lil one.. well, she's just Krystal, but when we talk about her, she's "Princess" :)
