My twins are at a standstill in weight gain. My girl has actually started to lose weight. I have been in contact with their pediatrician, but based on their last official weigh in two months ago their weight looks "ok."
I have a baby scale I use before and after feedings, so I know their weight daily as well as their milk intake for the day. (I got the scale after my son exceeded my daughter in weight by over a pound in one month.)
I do not believe either are eating enough based on their weights. Owie weighs 12 pounds and Norrie is 10 lbs 9.5 oz (a few days ago she was 10 lbs 11 oz).
Norrie started Zantac last week. This has helped her crying and fussiness with feedings, but it has not increased her intake. She just never seems hungry. Owie has started eating less lately (but he does have a cold).
I have tried waking them up to eat, offering the breast more often, and offering a bottle. Nothing seems to work. Plus neither of them do too well on the bottle.
Both are having a good amount of dirty diapers. Both are happy and alert.
