Hello ladies ,
I was just wandering if its better for the newborn to use baby lotion or baby oil after the bath . And while u bath the baby at the beginning just with the wash cloth do u put anything to the water u wetting the cloth in ?
I hope u understand my question , My english is not that good and I don't have any other way to put the question together :haha:
And also how many times a week should I bath the baby ? I read 2-3 times is enough ... is it true?

I HATE baby oil, my aunt sent me a article about it and after that i refuse to use it on my baby, or myself. I want to use pretty much ALL enviorment friendly products, that are made of natural stuff, so im stubbron that way too...

https://www.herballuxuries.com/about-mineral-oil.html to each their own though :)

2-3 times a week is fine aslong as you top and tail the baby every day with water and cotton wool. I didnt use anything on my baby for a while, no lotion or oil as I like to keep babies skin as natural and product free as possible. When bathing baby its ok to put a tiny bit of wash stuff such as johnsons bedtime bath with lavander and use a sponge to wipe them down :)

i use a baby bather, with the sling ... so the baby is wet in the water, warm but has support. i use babywash to wash babies.
i bathed her about 2-3 times until she was 2 months, since then we bath every day but only have "scub down (with soap and a cloth)" every 2-3 days. the other times she just plays in the bath as her evening routine
i use lotion, but its just what you prefer. neither is wrong.

i agree with mom and ttc... it's whatever you prefer. just make sure that whatever you choose is hypoallergenic and doesn't clog pores.

as for the bath... i think that really all depends too. they explain it all in the hospital but it always seems to be slightly different than the last. at first they say not to use soap because it can irritate the newborns skin.

When my son was a newborn, I had a baby bath, and would use a hypoallergenic baby wash(gentle)...I bathed my son almost every evening, as this would calm and soothe him and put him in a routine for "bed"...also newborn tend to poop 24/7 at first lol...so a bath was always good!
It's whatever you are comfortable with.

When it comes to baby oil or lotion...I used the oil. But only 2-3 times a week...If anyone is concerned with how safe certain products are to use..you can choose to buy items from a healthy food store...they usually sell more "organic" products.

as a newborn, I only use a little soap to wash during the bath.
when baby gets a little older I use lotion and if he has really dry skin, I may put a little baby oil in the bath water
