Just curious when your LOs grew out of their own moses baskets or you decided to take them out of it?

Also then did you put baby straight into cot or the bassinet part of cot?

I don't know what the Bassinet part of the cot is?:blush:

Bethanie went into her cot at around 3-4 months if I remember correctly. She has always been a long baby!

Never bothered with a moses basket, put them straight into their cot. What is a basinet???

just moved her when she was too big! same with a cot! she looks so small again now she's in a big bed! luckily she hasn't figured she can get out of it on her own yet!!!!!

Hi wobbs!

We took Lucy out of her moses at 6/7 weeks as she was too long for it :blush: She is going to be a giraffe like me and her sister.

Plus her matress started to have an indentation of where she was lay so i was like uh oh.

Are you thinking about taking Caitlin out and into a cot?

x

This is the cot we put Lucy into and I love it, wished we had of had one for Rebecca but she is in a M&P cot bed....This is a bargain too and soo girly!

We're gonna have to move Oliver into his cot soon also...he's already v nearly outgrown his moses basket! x

Sorry I have graco cot (we didnt know we were moving house & she'd have her own room now I regret buying it) - its the deluxe one its really nice and comfy unlike the travel cot I had for sis that was standard its like a quilted matress. Here it is anyway:

As you see where baby would lie there its 'higher'

Normal cots have the same feature where they are 'higher' rather than at the bottom of cot.

Higher;

Lower;

More curious to see what others do - Caitlins really petite but wondering when is best to move her over :D

I bought a lot of neutral stuff Im quite like that in general but Ive gone a bit girly since she arrived :blush:

:rofl: Yey another pink Princess!

Wobbs Id keep her in her moses for as long as possible-get the wear out of it! Also they look so lush when they are in their moses baskets, proper little babies.x:hugs:

I know :lol: Because shes quite petite I think we'll get our use of it :D

Ah ok, when we took Bethanie out of her moses basket we just moved the cot into the lower position so that we didn't have to re-position it at a later date.

Callum's been in his cot for a couple of weeks now, he's really long, gonna be like his dad (6ft 4). Also he wouldnt settle in his moses basket. Nicole was in her moses basket for quite a long time.

If caitlens just petite i would keep her in for as long as poss, get as much use out of it as you can.

So glad my friend gave me one(a moses basket) would of been a complete waste of money if we'd had to buy one.

callum was in his for about 2 weeks! then i was scared hed tip it wriggling :rofl: he went into a travel cot for about 3 month(inland revenue stopped my payments for 6 month :() and then into a cot at about 3 n a bit months :D

Matthew is in a crib (mothercare one) and because it's a bit longer than a moses basket I'm hoping we'll get a good 8 weeks out of it, but it depends on how active he is. We used it for Lucy too, but she was only in it for about a month because she just wouldn't settle, she didn't like feeling confined I think. Matthew seems to like it. I will be looking to buy my cot soon though, just in case he decides he doesn't like it and I need it sooner rather than later.

Char Frankie's still in her moses basket at 4 months! - She was only 11lb 13 though at her weigh in last week, so she's small for her age (can't believe people actually birth babies this big).
She starts out in her moses basket, but ends up in bed with us at some point when she wakes for a feed.
-I've got a bedside cot, which I shall proberbly bring into our room in the next month or so.

Bedside cot? Or am I being silly and its just a normal cot? :blush: lol

It is odd Caitlins weight is s till one lower than most women give birth to :lol:

A bedside cot has a level you can bring it down to that is the same as a standard bed (i presume) and it means that you can take off the side, put it right up to your bed and therefore its like they are in bed with you without actually being in bed with you. Did that make any sense?

Yes Wobbs, its a cot that the side drops right down so you can have it pulled right up to your bed, like a bed extention haha! - Its ideal for me as I end up co-sleeping pretty much.

I was just thinking the other day that Olivia is soon going to be too long for her moses basket. I know she is only 4 weeks but she has almost out grown it already.

Im just afriad to put her in her own room I think too and was also wondering how to do it but i think im just going to put her straight into her cot & not put the moses basket in too.
