Hi Everyone,
New to this forum and new to pregnancy so could definitely use some advice from the more experienced ladies.

So DH & I went shopping this weekend with hopes to pick up all things we'll need for the baby when she's born (yes a girl:kiss: ) but got completely overwhelmed at the store and ended up leaving without but 1 single thing!

I seriously had no idea there was sooooooooo much choice, so aside from the obvious (like a stroller, a crib, car seat, baby clothes) what are the best things you bought for the arrival of your baby.

Seriously no judgement on answers cos I feel completely clueless right now.:haha:

Muslin squares, and lots of them :haha:

and MAM bottles :)

I'm in your exact position. There's such a variety out there and I have no idea how much of what.

Congrats on team pink!!

muslin squares and spit up cloths, i used terry toweling nappies for spit up cloths too, i went for a simple bouncer not a fancy swing or jumperoo and the boys were happy in it when they were little and it was easy to store flat and move from room to room with me and because it was more of a hammock than a solid seat then it was a better position for their spine in the early dayshttps://a2.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc3/28672_10150172167150123_663595122_12068443_8331949_n.jpg

Baby bath & changing mat, bouncing chair. I collected a few baby catalogues & had a browse to get ideas & to see what is actually required for our lifestyle. Not everything is essential but the shops do like to sell it all to you. So definantly understand being overwhelmed.

Vibrating bouncer found this a godsend on DS2 lol!!

To the lady above- you are an absolute legend! I am normally the queen of lists but this is my first pregnancy and have been completely stumped so far!! hehe. Much too much choice in the shops I reckon.

xx

I am exactly the same. My husband teases me about making a list to make a list! This is my first and the choice of everything is soooo huge. Yours is a huge help, thanks!

I like making lists! lol

Brilliant list - I've addes quite a few things to my list from this now! :flower:

oh cool glad it helped! I'm sure there's things I've missed off. but its what we need. Suppose we should start buying some of soon! lol

Silly me just thought "ah Ill just need a travel system, some bibs and clothes for baby..".
There are so many things I didnt even think about. Ive had a snoop around online and I find it very overwhelming. I think it could be really easy to over buy things you dont actually "need".

God yeah! We went to Mothercare the other day and Babies R Us to test drive some prams and looking around just thought how much stuff we could buy that we'll probably never use, hence why I made a list instead and will just buy what's on it (providing I haven't forgotten anything drastic!)
