Baby Sharting?

Hi new mommies -- had a couple shart episodes recently (sharting = liquid poop flying during diaper changes). Went everywhere and ruined all my diapers on the side of the changing table! Anyone experience something similar with their newborn and how did you prevent it? Appreciate your help in advance!

I don't miss the days of newborn sharts! Neither of mine did them during diaper changes however, I guess you just need to be really quick with the change!

We've only had one or two but they haven't been THAT powerful!
I've read that some people, when they need to be really stealthy and fast, put the new diaper under the baby / old diaper so it's in the ready position while you're taking off the dirty one.
