Also posted in baby club!

I just wondered if anyone has any recommendations for a good baby swing?
Which one have you bought? We're not too concerned about price as we've saved in other areas. Also is it worth buying both a swing and bouncer - we already have a playmat/ gym thingy.

Oh and I'm in the UK

I've heard good things about the Mamaroo but are they really worth the money?

Just googled the Mamaroo as I hadn't heard of it...looks pretty good.
I think we are going for this one...https://www.baby-stores.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=62

I think as long as its one that you can get to swing by itself, and it has some sort of toys for them to look at theres not much between different swing other than how they look.
One thing I would add is if your short of space, get a fold away one.
xx

I have bought the Fisher Price Rainforest Open Top Cradle Swing. It has different music settings, speeds and a mobile. Faces two different directions for rocking and looks cute too!

I agree with Belle though, as long as it self swings and has some sort of toy then anything will do. :)

Thanks! We just have no idea how much to spend on one. We've had a lot of our baby stuff as presents or hand me downs and have all the essentials now so we want to start getting the fun stuff.

The Mamaroo looks brilliant but it is a lot of money so I'm not sure  if she'll like it more then we don't mind the spend IYKWIM?

I had the Fisher-Price Aquarium Take Along Swing for my daughter (not sure they make this exact one now, but others like it). And it was really handy for taking to MIL's or something, folds down nice a neat. Was easy to wash/clean if baby had an accident. Nice sounds/music and lights.

I got the same this time, but bought it second hand for £10 and just washed it all lol. I'll probs was it again before baby arrives.

Aye my swing is basically same as Belle's but it's Aquarium instead :)

I've ordered this one: https://www.mamasandpapas.com/product-starlite-swing-once-upon-a-time/470516000/type-i/
Don't know if its any good, I just liked it.

A bouncer is a must for me. They are great for day time naps and for when you need to do stuff. I am not sure where people put their babies with out having a bouncer? Maybe moses basket? I like my baby to be sat up a little.
I haven't used a swing but everyone I know that has say their baby didn't like it so I wouldn't buy one but my friend has given me one to try out.

I'm going to have a bouncer and swing because my swing is very easy to fold down and take with you. But I wont be using a moses basket this time, I'll use my pram lol.

I have the fp rainforest swing and jumperoo and I love them both. I don't think I'd waste the extra on the mamaroo personally. Babies don't need anything fancy. A friend got that one and her baby refused to go in there.

When is a baby usually able to use a jumperoo? Is it after 3 months, after 6 months? Thought they had to be able to sit up, etc first before putting them in a jumperoo...

I have a graco swing, a fisher price glider chair thing, a maclaren bouncer that vibrates and a jumperoo.
