I was told in my previous pregnancy that as long as there is a good strong heartbeat not to worry! There is SO much room for lil fishy to be swimming around in there that he/she will be head down one minute and sideways the next :)

My baby was pointing upside down at my 18 week ultrasound.. perfectly normal :)

Our baby flipped all over the place during our 12 week scan - back to us, facing us, right way up and upside down!

The sonographer didnt seem concerned...just thought it was cute!

Congrats on seeing a healthy baby and best of luck :flower:

Mine was head down at my 12 week scan.

Dont worry about it not moving, it might have been asleep.

Ditto what everyone else said and if your around 12 week mark expect your sympoms should go! Thankfully they don't last the whole pregnancy! Congrats on healthy baby x

mine was head down in all my scans! its nothing to worry about. xx

As far as I know, at 9 weeks the baby doesn't actually cannot tell which way is up anyway!

This is normal - they quite like doing somersaults and can end up upside down. They also have active and inactive periods. My second baby was upside down at 12 week scan - much to the sonographer's frustration as the nuchal fold could not be viewed :haha:

At my twelve week nuchal scan the baby was laying on its stomach. Not sure if that's what you mean by upside down or not. The nurse said the baby was sleeping, but it definitly alarmed me because the baby wasn't moving much and I was told he or she was sleeping. Like Wubba said, they had a difficulty time getting an accurate nuchal fold measurement. The baby flipped a few times and they got a best guess and thankfully it was such a small measurement she felt comfortable we were not at risk for down's.

hey just popping in from 3rd tri to say that it sounds very normal :) even now at the end of my pregnancy the midwife still tells me that up until the very end the baby can still turn around. your baby at the minute will be so small that he/she still has tons and tons of room to somersault around. i wouldnt worry about the position x
