Baby was waving at me!

Just had my ultrasound and the baby actually waved at me! So cool to see my little person moving around!! How the hell did this miracle happen from just a sperm and an egg? I'm bowled away!

Also, he or she was in a perfect position for the technician to take the nuchal translucency measurement. I told her I'm glad my kid was being good for her, although he/she was a little too young to take out for pizza afterward (my usual reward for being good at appointments when I was little). BTW the measurement was 2.1, which is supposed to be average, knock on wood till the bloodwork comes.

Finally, I didn't see any evidence of the baby building Stewie Griffin-style weaponry or booby traps (although maybe he or she kept that well hidden, LOL)

Unfortunately, the baby waving wasn't in the pictures. The pics I did get were cool but they looked like most other 13 week pics. I will probably post some later ones after the next ultrasound!

We joked the baby was giving us the finger! (It's a private joke between my husband and myself!). At the 20wk scan, my husband asked the ob/gyn whether she could tell whether there was a tail and whiskers as he insists that our little cat (who is a girl) is the true 'daddy' (the car sleeps on me, literally); she didn't think it was funny. LOL
