Just come back from MW appointment and im expecting a 6-7 pound baby lol

Just wondering how many of your predictions were true on previous pregnancies?

How far gone are you ? .... how did you predict ??

( just wondered as i asked that question today).....my MW said she cant tell me really ...just said my bump was just perfect size

Yep , my mw wont predict either -I am guessing (hoping lol) for similar to my other baby's weights - so between 7lb 4 -7lb 14; but with maybe half pound difference either way if baby is late or early lol so hoping between 6lb15 and 8lb 3oz lol -watch this space I'll have a huge 10 -11lber lol

The only thing I was told yesterday is that baby has a bony bum haha

My midwife was convinced from measuring me I was expecting a 10lb plus baby. She even sent me for a scan at 40 weeks....which showed a 7lb 6oz baby. MW still didn't believe the scan. I was planning for a home birth so got several versions of the shoulder distocia and big baby talk.

Abigail was born at 42+1 weighing 8lb 1.5oz and didn't reach the "predicted" 10lb+ til 8 weeks.

I'll know Friday for sure because I'm now having a c-section, but as of yesterday after a ultrasound they predicted my LO at 9lbs 7oz....So guess we'll see soon enough.

i got told i was expecting an average sized baby, bout 7 - 7.5lb but then told me he was gona be big, now hes even out so im back down to a 7-7.5, wel soon see tho lol xxx

Well they guessed her at 9lbs 7oz and she was 9lbs .02oz

At one ultrasound I was told 9lbs. And then 5 days later I was told 8lbs 6 oz.
But, it can go 21 oz either way for their measurements of weight.
So basically I'm looking at somewhere between 7lbs and 10lbs.

With first was told "average" and two weeks early he was born at 9lbs 10 oz! Definitely not average!!! lol

with my first i was told he would be about 10lb with very broad shoulders (which completly freaked me out) and he was 7lb 4oz and tiny just hoping my little lady is about the same x

At my 36 week appointment she was estimated 7 lbs 6 oz. 1 week later she was born and weighed that exact weight

my MW told me that they cant tell the weight of the baby unless its by scan but that because my bump has always measured the same as my weeks (that make sense?lol) im having an "average" sized baby......whatever that means i dunno! lol x

I was told around 7lb with dd1 just from mw having a feel and she was exactly 8lb (born 3 days early). This time i have had to have growth scans etc and at my last 2 which were 1 week apart - the first dr told me to expect at least a 9lb er and the second told me to expect a 7lber!!! went back to my community midwife and she is still convinced i will have a tiny baby from feeling my tummy so really dont know what to expect .

When do MWs give you predictions?

when they measure ur bump with the measure tape, they plot it on a graph which converts to baby weight
