Hi ladies!
Haven't got round to posting this as I've just got out of hospital. Baby Theo James arrived 10th may at 3.05am weighing 7lb 3oz!
So after my waters broke early hours tuesday morning I was booked in for induction at 10pm Wednesday 9th if I didn't go Into natural labour! Well I didn't so off I went to be induced..I had two lots of tablets one at 1am then 7am in the morning both failed I was then put on a synotocin drip to get things started! Or maybe not! When it was shift change it was time to check how dilated I was after only being 1cm and high with both tablets! She said there was no change but did a sweep and also said I had a small amount of waters left covering theo's head so she also broke those! Well still nothing was happening so OH said he would nip home and get changed as we hadnt expected it to be so long!
Soon as he came back half a hour later I was hooked up to IV paracetamol and on the gas and air high as a kite!
(excellent stuff btw!) got to around 11ish and I was in agony but my midwife was adamant i was still only 2cm! Anyway she checked me and I was 5cm! Decided at this point with the advice of the midwife to have an epi. This was a total lifesaver and I Managed to Have a good sleep after not sleeping properly for two nights! By the time I woke up about 2ish I was ready to push, this was the worst part for me and theo's heart rate kept dipping so they delivered him by forceps and he was born 3.05am!
I lost a litre of blood and needed an episiotomy so I've been really weak in hospital just managed to escape a transfusion thank god! I've been sent home with iron tabs. Even after going through it all I'd do it a million times for Theo I've never been so in love! Can't get pics up yet as I'm using I phone but wil try get some up soon.
