My baby girl is 2 months old and was born with the typical dark blue/grey color eyes. Her eyes are getting lighter but I've also noticed 4 tan streaks running from the pupil out. But are very thin like hair and that's only on her left eye and her right eye does not have it. Both eyes do have a tan ring around the pupils. I have dark brown eyes and my DH has light blue/grey with a tan ring around pupil followed by a yellow ring. Has this happened to anyone's lo? If so, what color was the outcome.

Sophie had eyes like this, they just ended up brown/hazel.

Emma has the brown streaks but rheuvey been there for months now and not changed, her eyes still look blue overall.

A baby's eyes can change up to 5 years old! Just a tad bit of info :)

Do you have a picture? My baby girls are a light tan for some reason in pictures they look a different color. I'm curious what color will be the outcome haha.

i habe 3 kids with brown eyes and they all were born with brown. then my oldest was born with grayish blue and now have greenish halzel eyes. my youngest jist born has blueish grayish eyes.
Id be surprised if those turned to brown. likely blue or hazel id say?

Your baby has very dark eyes, I would be surprised if they didn't turn brown.

I don't have any pictures of the first hair-like streaks of brown that came into Sophies eyes, but here is the tan creeping in when she was a baby. I think she was about 12 weeks in the first picture, then somewhere between 6-8 months in the others.

She has rather dark brown eyes now.

Here is the brown at the centre of Emma's eyes, BUT they have looked like this for ages.

I have blue eyes, so do my parents etc etc. OH has hazel eyes, his mum has green and his dad had brown.

Three of my babies' eyes looked like that, and their eyes are now VERY, VERY dark brown. Almost black, like my own. My second-born had some weird green/blue/brown color that constantly changed. They're hazel now.

so interesting. i guess its just proof that only time will tell. :)

For sure! My son started with dark eyes and they always looked brown, they are now lighter than my middle child who started with blue. Eyes are cool.

My LO was born with the dark blue/slate newborn colour and they kept getting lighter until she was about 6 months old, at which point they were a very light grey/green colour. By the time she was 10 months old she had tons of tan streaks, and by 15 months they were mostly brown (though a very light caramel colour). Now at 5 years old they're dark brown. So there's really no way to know! I remember a nurse at my LO's 6 month checkup saying "oh my gosh what a beautiful colour (the light grey/green), and they're probably going to stay that way now too!" I kinda want to track her down and show her what happened. :haha: They changed so drastically from birth to 6 months and then changed drastically again between 6-15 months and just kept getting darker from there.

I just got a picture of Sophies eyes now that she is 4.5 years old, so here is baby (about 8 months), toddler (about 14 months) and preschooler eyes that turned brown. They look darker away from a strong light source.

I'm so surprised Emma hasn't got really brown eyes by now like her siblings! They aren't blue but they aren't really any other colour either. Here she is today.

So has tan bits, won't be blue eyes then.

The way babies' eyes change color is so cool. :)

I think Everett is going to end up with brown it hazel eyes although some days his eyes are more blue, some days they're more grey, and some days they're more brown.

It's been fun watching my kids eye colors - I have dark brown eyes, my mom has light hazel and my dad has blue eyes.

Aiden and Mady's dad has blue eyes. They both ended up with blue eyes. Everett's dad also has blue eyes but he's not going to have blue ones. I'll have to try to get some pictures later because I think the differences in the kids' eye colors are so interesting :)

My kid never had "blue" blue eyes they were always dark grey. in certain light theres seems to be a bit f greenish and in other angles a bit bluish but generally dark grey

first one is at 1 year old

I'm excited to see if Violet's eyes change. They're currently blue with grey around the pupil. I have blue eyes and DH has green eyes.

My DS was born with blue eyes, like not the dark grey/blue most babies have but lighter, I suspected he'd have blue eyes when he was 4 days old. That was a surprise as I have brown eyes and DH has green. He has the most beautiful, striking blue eyes now at 20 months.

I think if you start to see tan streaks the odds are eyes will be brown in the end or maybe a hazel-ish colour.

Emmas eyes are still not going any darker, despite the tan streaks. My OH has central heterochromia though, he also has a disorder with his hair and it has random white patches. So think there is some funky genes there!
