I went for my 20 week scan a few weeks ago, and all the measurements for his arms and legs measured 20w6d, which was exactly what I was, but when they measured his stomach, it was measuring 2/3 weeks bigger.
The sonographer didnt know why it was big and I have to go back for a growth scan in 3 weeks.
Has this happened to anyone else? I had a quick google and all I found was that it can be a sign of diabetes, but this wasnt mentioned to me.

I had a growth scan at 28 weeks and my baby was measuring 2 weeks ahead in her tummy, and 10 days ahead with her head....the sonographers didnt seem worried at all, and six weeks later I havent had any follow ups....So I guess its nothing to worry about :)

Hi,
I had this aswell at my 20 week scan, everything else was measuring fine but his belly is way of the chart. The consultant told me it could be a sign of GD & booked me in for a fasting glucose test, i had that done on tuesday (am 27wks) & should get my results on monday when i see the midwife.
However when she found out about it all (at 21wks) her response was...what a load of rubbish all babies grow differently & id be more worried if your fluid levels were low which they arent :)

My twin boys both had 'off scale for singleton' head, leg and abdomen measurements - was tested for GD, but wasn't positive. Turns out they were just big babies hun x

Yes I had this too - baby stomach was at 99th centile and everything else was 75th - was tested for GD based on this but it was negative. I was rescanned later in pregnancy and the stomach still measured 99th centile, much larger than everything else. He came out fairly large at nearly 9lb (I'm not very big)... and perfectly healthy so all that testing and slight worry for nothing... Hope this helps to put your mind at rest... The meausrements aren't all that accurate and babies grow at such different rates...

GD hasnt even been mentioned to me. I dont have my growth scan for another 4 weeks yet, but I see my midwife next week, so will ask her then.

From what I have read, it sounds like I am in for a big baby!! Quite scary really, my other two babies were 7lb 4oz, and 7lb 1oz, and that hurt enough!!
