Has anyone got one of these? Instant formula machine, can even sterilise the bottles too. 200 quid is quite a bit but if it saves making formula in advance etc and a lot of time heating the water and cooling the feed when you have a screaming baby it might be worth it.

thats really neat, never seen one before. lol sorry that doesnt answer your question at all

tbh its a bit gimmicky for me, i mean you still have to wash your bottles and put the water and powder in

oh my god i'd have so loved one of those ! after almost 7 months it's a bit pointless now though, boo

preperation is the key.
We make the bottles up with water for the day and put them in the fridge. we then put the milk in those little milk dispenser tupperware pots you can get.
Daniel likes his milk at room temperature, so we get the next bottle out of the fridge while we put the milk in the current bottle. No screaming baby, and no £200 spent on something you would have to prepare first thing in the morning anyway!
I personally think this is a gimick for those with a bit too much money to throw away!

looks interesting! if i was ff i would definately consider this as i am a sucker for these sort of products. my OH probably wouldnt lt me have one though. it is a lot of money i guess but it would save space as you wouldnt need a separate steriliser.

How do you clean it? And sterilise the bits which dispense the milk?

Seems very gimicky indeed. Once you get into a routine with bottles, I don't see it as being a lot of trouble anyway? As someone else said, you still have to wash the bottles, and to me, that's the bit that takes longer than sterilising them.

I'd rather spend £40 on an electric sterliser, and use the rest of the money for something which is better value for money!

It sterilises itself I think. Just pumps 95 degree water through with no milk power to clean itself.

In theory you shouldnt make up the formula in advance, you shouldnt add cold water to milk power as it doesnt kill the bacteria in the milk power. If you want to stick to the NHS/FSA guidelines to only make up formula as you need it this seems like the only practical way.

A cheaper option may be to use ready made cartons of formula - they are sterile and take very little time to prepare.

Totally :D We've only ever used the cartons, they're so convenient. Gotta love cartons. :D

Oh wow! I hope it really does all the things it says it does! I'm considering buying one

Well, unless you're using SMA Staydown, which has to be made up with fridge-chilled water...

Besides, where does it say that the formula is made up with boiling water in this machine? It says it uses "clean boiled water". So presumably the reservoir is filled up, it boils the water, and then it sits and is heated as the bottle is dispensed. A bit like the Tefal One-Cup.

If you were really worried about only using water at 70 degrees+ to make the formula up, it would still seem like the only way to do it is to boil the kettle and do it yourself.

I bought one and started using it in June 2011. It is a total waste of money, Singapore office is happy to communicate with you until you have paid, after that they have ignored my emails of queries and complaints. Mothers don't waste your money, I am very angry that I did because the machine just does not work properly.

nestle have one too, it's called the 'babynes' but it's only sold on Switzerland at the moment

For some reason the link won't work for me but I wouldn't think it would be any more convenient than pre-making and storing them in the fridge then popping a bottle in the microwave for a few seconds like we do.
