Back ache & tightenings

Hey ladies,

Just after some advice. I’m 35w today and all day yesterday and again today I have been having an aching back (sometimes comes and goes, but mostly it’s pretty constant) some tightenings on and off and some low dull period cramps. Yesterday I noticed I lost some mucus plug when I wiped, no blood or anything and it was just the 1 time. I’m not sure what’s going on. Has anyone had this before? DS and DD both went until 40+4 so Wasn’t expecting any signs for another few weeks yet.

I usually lose my plug a couple/few weeks before going into labor, so it could just be getting ready for the big day. As for the tightenings, they do tend to get more frequent and stronger near the end, and especially in subsequent pregnancies. As long as they aren't regular, it's likely just your body preparing. Mine are also more in my back.
