Went to the hospital this morning to check into the ward that I was booked to go on. I got there at about 7am as I was told to arrive by 7.30am. When i went to the reception area of that ward, the staff were awful! There were loads of nurses just sitting there, staring at me, until one decided to ask "Can I help you". Told her I was booked on to the ward today and she looked at me like I was mad. Luckily there was one nice lady there who said she'd find out what was happening. Turned out them nurses were the night staff who were due to go off duty soon and obviously wasn't expecting anyone to turn up.

Finally got taken to my ward and was wheeled down for the op at around 9.30am. Got really emotional as they started to wheel me down so they said my husband and mum could come with me down to the theatre doors and leave me there. Woke up about an hour later feeling crampy but fine apart from that. Luckily they let me go home at 12.30pm after I'd eaten something. So I'm now back at home feeling like I've got period pains but they've given me some pain killers.

Glad it's all over with and can't wait to be able to start trying again. Hopefully 2009 will bring me (and all of you girls who are trying again) better luck. I certainly hope so. Thanks for all your support xxxxx

Sending you big . I'm so sorry that you're going through this. If you need to talk, we're all here for you. :hugs:

Glad that today went as well as can be expected.

Sorry you had to go through this Hun:hugs:

Bloody nurses make you so angry sometimes, the nurse I had looking after me had gone through the same 2 weeks earlier and was very suportive.

2009 will be the year for us Ladies and our sticky beans:hugs:

Luckily the nurses that were looking after me were really lovely. It just made me angry the way the ones at the reception looked at me, as though I was some kind of weirdo. It's not exactly like anyone wants to be checking into a hospital ward. It kind of put me off having any future babies that I may have there because i didn't want to be around people like them but the lovely nurses that looked after me changed my mind!

Glad all went well today darling, have been thinking of you. Upwards and onwards and wishing you a fantastic 2009 xxxx

I have to try and stay thankful for the fact that it happened sooner rather than later. My miscarriage started to happen naturally on Christmas Day of all days! Only very light brown spotting but I knew it was starting and was praying that it would hold off until I had my ERPC as I know from reading about some people's experiences that it can be extremely painful. Luckily it did hold off!

I can't imagine how traumatic it must have been for you. You think that once you go for your 12 week scan and everything is ok, that you'll be fine so I'm just glad I didn't have to go any further along to find out.

It's so devastating. I never realised until I got pregnant how hard it would be. I used to always think with ppl who had early miscarriages "why do you get so upset? you can try again". I suppose that's just me being very naive because now I certainly know what it feels like.

When I told a few friends I was pregnant, they kept saying it's the hardest (as well as best) thing you'll ever experience. And they kept saying "enjoy your sleep while it lasts". Well I want the sleepless nights and the screaming baby. I get really annoyed when people say that, even when I thought my pregnancy was going well.

Well I'm glad tomorrow is the start of a new year and hopefully it will be a good one for all of us! No one deserves to go through this so hopefully it'll be our turn to have happy healthy babies!
