Back Labor...what's it feel like?

This is my 3rd pregnancy and the baby dropped last night around dinner time, I woke up this morning wilth killer back pain. I have all I can do to bend over if I need to pick something up, it feels like I'll put my back out if I do. Pain is in the center of my lower spine. I thought at first maybe the pain was just from the weigh shifting from baby engaging but with both of my other 2 pregnancies my back never hurt after they dropped so wondering if this could be back labor...how can you tell??

DS was back to back, for me it felt like my contractions were in a band around my front and back, when he turned as I was pushing I just got pains in the front (nice ). So for me it just felt like regular labour just... in my back as well. Sorry useless description . I don't think I had any back pain before labour, except for the usual late pregnancy achey back.

my labour was completely back to back, it started with what felt like a cramp in my lower back from lying on the couch funny but then came and went every 8 minutes, after about an hour I started to feel loads of preassure in my pelvis. All my contractions were in my back, didnt feel any in my stomach at all. after a while when they got bad it feels like when you sit in a bad position for a while and your muscles start burning but obviously in your lower back. I was 5 cm dilated after 3 hours

Thanks girls! I guess it was not back labor for me as I woke up pain free this morning. I guess the baby was just lying wrong or something

Well, I was induced and in labor for 3 days. I got the epi on the last day and thinking my pain was over... Was I wrong. Back labor kicked in.

It was on my lower back pulling in towards my sides. It hurt like hell. Like a constant contraction in my back. I deff didn't feel like I would pull it out of place but, everyone is different.
