I don't know about aromatherapy oils, but I am taking a tub of coconut oil for back, belly, perineum, whatever I need.

My midwife suggested that I purchase Arnica massage oil by Weleda. Arnica is good for anti inflammatory and anti pain relief. This oil has lavender and rosemary essential oils in it for relaxation too!

A plain carrier oil like sweet almond or cold pressed organic sunflower is great for massage as the essential oils can be over powering in labour. Lavender, jasmine, chamomile and clary sage are all good ones but don't cover yourself in anything like that incase you hate it and it's not easy to get off.
