:dohh:.
Ok so I hope Im not the only one so sick of bad advice and stupid people. Everyone thinks that just because OH and I are young that we dont know what we're doing. Like his sister told us to take a stupid stuffed duck out of her crib because it can suffocate her. NO DUHHHH! Its only in there right now because its cute. To be frank, I'm sick of it. That and the dirty looks from people that dont know you. It's like of ya Im young, BUT Im a highschool graduate, self supportive, and not mooching off the system like half the other people in this god forsaken country. [[not to offend]].
To top it off I have friends that are exactly friends and an OH that would rather drink and shit then care about what I have to say or that my hormones have hit an all time high and half the time im so depressed its not funny! AHHHHHHHH.:growlmad:.
Ok I feel some what better.... phew. Lol

:hugs:

The only thing you can do is just show that you AREN'T incompetent just because you're young, and hopefully they'll realize it. But some idiots will continue giving awful advice until the end of time :dohh: there's no stopping them.

i don't think it matters what age you are people like to say and do things like this to make you feel a little down, people just want you feeling like a bad parent sometimes i think... i think some people just have to much time on their hands lol

oh sweet pea u gotta have tough skin! my cuzn was 16 and pregnant ppl gave her UGLY a** looks 24/7 and i'd MEan mug them RIGHT back and said mind ur own damn business! ppl would randomly go up touch her belly(anyone touches my belly ur gonna lose a hand!lol ) and tell her dumb crap she already knows they just thinks since ur young ur dumb and dont know how to be a good mother its annoying!

congrats on birth of your little one just perfect x

couldn't agree more, you've got your beautiful baby and that should be the focus instead of the idiots that judge :) i bet you're a great mum!

There's always people like that no matter where you go, when people at work found out I was pregnant I had lots of the older staff asking me stuff like 'was it planned', 'where you going to live', 'what about your studies' rather than just 'congratulations'. I didnt particularly find the questions themselves offensive, just that if an older member of staff were pregnant they wouldn't dare be so intrusive.

All you can do is ignore them, and if they do ask questions, answer them straight. If they try and tell you how to parent, just remind them that YOU are the mother so YOU will BE the mother. :haha: Stupid people.

Im 23, married and have my own house and get "those looks" cos i look young, i find myself having to prove to strangers im a compitent Mum when i know i am. I find myself randomly saying "oh my husband etc etc" to cashiers cos theyve given me the look and i wanna prove IM NOT 12!! lol
I know its hard but try and let it go over your head!
And as for the unwanted advice.. everyone gets it! 15, 25, 35, 45..85 lol and pregnant, others will always have their bit to say!!
My bugbear is older people saying "oh they need some germs" ok so ive dropped her dummy in the middle of the street.. for a start it has grit on it!?!!!!
Sorry hun just went of on one there!
Keep your chin up xxx

Was it planned.. i cant believe some people have the nerve to ask this!! i would only ask a very close friend this, mainly to see if they were shocked and scared and needed some help but i wouldnt ask a collegue or stranger! grr
