My 5 yr old is 40 lbs.... I attempted to carry him to bed since he fell asleep on the couch and my husband isn't home..... I got a sharp pain in my lower pelvic area so I put him down half after only a few seconds.... It's 45 min later and I now have cramps and pinching pains in my lower pelvic area...... Is this serious? Is this normal from carrying too much? Does anyone else carry their kids still? I'm only 13 wks...... I'm feeling a bit concerned and scared :/

Prob round ligament pain.... But also real easy due to hormones to pull a muscle which may also be. My lo is only 25 pounds and I carry her a lot and this happens often to me but usually goes away after few mins. But always always seek your doctor if concerned. Hope all is well

I have a physical job and I got this after pushing myself to much at the end of the day just try and rest and it will ease off im sure if in doubt ring your doctor/midwife for reassurance

If I've done too much during the day or cleaned the whole house from top to bottom (we live on three floors) and hoovering the stairs etc can sometimes take it's tole so I have to have a break and take a rest. Take it easy Hun x

My 2 year old son is 32lbs and cries in the supermarket to be held and it always hurts afterwards. It is definitely nerving but I am still going strong and the doc says baby is happy and healthy at every appointment. My suggestion is if it worsens or is accompanied by spotting head to your midwife/er and get checked over. It will always put you at ease to know what is going on if the pain is lasting or intensifying. Make sure you rest hun and take it easy!!

Thanks you !!! The cramping lasted a few hrs last night but I ended up falling asleep, when I woke up tanks morning I felt a lot better..... How scary!! Is 40lbs too heavy to carry? Will it hurt baby? Or just me?lol ......I feel so bad when my boys want me to carry them to bed or what me to pick them up for hugs :( one is 38lbs and the other is 40lbs.....

Ive been told you shouldnt life anything heavier than your laundry basket
