Bad news about DH sperm...

hello - well I went to FS today for a check after we DTD last night as she wanted to check how spermies reacted in me... so I went along this morning and she took a sample and she looked under microscope and said - they are all not moving except for one but it is moving slowly... then she said DH may have severe male factor and that I may need IVF... like break it to me gently... so she said that DH has to go for spermogram and SA and then from there we will decide what to do as I may not be the problem and may lie with DH.. feel so deflated, and sad and dont actually know how to feel. Poor DH is also upset but he wants to wait for proper SA to see what results are before we make any decisions about next steps... there is no question that I would go the iVF route but its still hard to be told what she told me today and leaves me feeling less optimistic.... arghhh!! Life is really unfair sometimes... just wanted to share

Huge big hun, i know exactly how you feel as me and DH have faced this recently. so sorry that the doc wasn't a little more tactful either.

When will DH be having an SA? did they give you any advice as to what you can do in the meantime?

I know that nothing will make you feel better at the moment chick but you will come out the other side and things can get better - promise. There is still hope if there are spermies x x x x

We had the same treatment from our gynae. He told us the results are poor, cos there are no sperm to count.
We later found out that that was not the case and even though the number is low there are still some sperm. I just think that as long as there are some sperm there is a little hope.

you guys are all so FANTASTIC!! Thank you for your kind words... DH has his SA booked now for 2 Dec so lets wait and see - he was really devastated last night and i felt so so bad for him... I am hoping it is my CM killing his spermies... I just dont want him to go thru this pain.... well yesterday was called a post coital test.... and i did some research and there could be other reasons for dead spermies... so lets see what SA test reveals and then we will make the decisions albeit perhaps hard ones from there.. thanks to all again... Big
