Hi!
I have receveid my DH's results which are pretty bad...
Count : 15 million
Motility :
- fast : 0%
- slow : 19%
- non progressive : 22%
Morphology : less than 1% (normal)
:nope::nope:
He is very healthy and did special efforts these last 6 months (1 cup of coffee per day, almost never drink, not overweight ...) and took men's supplements...
The doctor suggested to go directly for IVF procedure and said IUI would not help. :sad1:

It is such a big choke..! Is there any hope? Is maca roots powder could do something or any other supplements?
He has an appointment soon to see an urologist. I hope he has a varicocele we can fix.

I'm so sorry :( I hope there is something the urologist can do! I heard a lot of the time they can fix problems with a simple procedure, so don't lose heart. I hope everything goes well. Hugs!!!

hi how many SA's has your DH had? Just asking as so far mine has had 4 or 5 and each time the count has been different
The first one was 13ml - motility about 35% and morphology about 5%
Second was 15ml count - Motility about 50% and morpholgy about 8%
Third one was 34ml count - Motility 30-40% (cant really remember) and morphology 2%!
Fourth one was 84ml count (much different from the first!) not sure about motility and at our last appointment they didnt have the morphology results as DH done the sample too late but it didnt matter either way as FS said we would be starting clomid anyway

The first 2 samples were about a year ago and the last 2 were 1 in nov 12 and one jan 13, just trying to say dont lose hope, sperm samples can change and you're doing all the right healthy things and in the right hands for help, good luck xx

My husband's first count was really bad, i can't remember any stats but they RE told us we would have a 13% of getting pg with an IUI.
We decided to see a nutritionalist, and 2 months after a big diet change and supplements his sperm count is up in a normal range and RE decided to prescribe clomid for me and we are trying without an IUI for now.

Liloo: My husband had 3 SAs done and all showed low motility and count even though he is young (25), doesn't drink, doesn't smoke, is fit and healthy and has been taking a range of suggested supplements and multi vitamins to target sperm health for over a year before getting the SAs done over a 4 month period. I have PCOS and do not ovulate often at all. Only time I did was when on clomid 300mg but that isn't even working now. We have been referred on for ICSI now.
