bad result on NT scan

Hello I am very new at this but need some support... I recent went and got the NT scan where I was told that there is a lot of Fluid in my baby's brain. Doctor said could mean DS or some other chormosone abnormality as well as heart defect. THe doctors word were " this is not good" He basically told me if he was me he would terminate my pregnancy. I am devasted. he took my blood for a Harmony test to know what is the issue exactly. I am so nervous and scared.

We had exactly the same thing happen a few weeks ago. After a very long 10 day wait we had the harmony test results and everything is absolutely fine. It's so hard but try and stay positive, hugs and best wishes to you

hate hearing when doctor's say to terminate! you don't even know anything yet!! Just wait for the results, I am sorry you are going through this. let us know!!

My baby has a heart defect and a genetic problem. Its not the end of the world. It's not easy but even if your baby does have some issues its not an automatic termination if you don't want it to be. Please don't feel pressuerd into it. As PP have said its also very possible that its nothing but a bad measurement at this stage. Try to be positive

Sorry to hear about your NT scan experience. I am surprised doctor was so insensitive. We had a good NT scan but then got news that we have a 1/59 chance of downs based on combined results. Since our NT was good I am assuming our blood work was pretty bad. We are also waiting for harmony results and tomorrow will be day 13. Since we had to do a redraw, it will actually be 27 days that we have been waiting. Uggg! I will send positive thoughts your way and hope we both get good news this week.
