Hey guys

Well DH did his first SA a month ago and got told he had 1.5million but everything else (motility/morphology) was okay.

Did another one this week and the results are in - exactly the same and no improvement.

He is at a different GPs so they have said they will give him the results to take to my doc to do the referral.

Can anyone guide me through what happens next? He did ask (my little note of questions helped!) what th waiting time was like and was told 12-24 months.

We are off on hols tomorrow so can't get in to see my doc and i just want to know what to expect - both NHS and private??

I am being cool as a cucumber though - i have my health and i have the loveliest husband in the world (barr yours of course) and so i feel pretty lucky - things will WORK out!!

Man........ knew i shouldn't have spent 5k on double glazing!!!

It really does depend on where you are, love. I was led to believe that the waiting lists in my area were up to 4 years for IVF yet on Wednesday I was told that it only takes 3 - 4 months to get to the top of the list.

Sorry hun, can't advise as I'm not at that stage yet-but good luck with everything.

Is this your first fertility referral hun or have you already been through all that and now waiting to be put onto IVF list in particular??

My G.P told me the waiting list for a first referral is likely to be a few months, and I have been told IVF is approx. 13 months, but I'm in N.Ireland. So that prob doesn't help at all!!

Snap with spending 5K on random things like windows. Just ploughed 5K into a new car. Really should have bought a banger and saved the rest!!!

aaaww good luck...maybe try "maca" its a herbel, and its fab, it helps with mobility, count, for sperm n eggs, honest its grt, my gary had a low testostrone level 3mth ago,he ad it done again last wk and its now normal! also gary just took his sample in2day so were hopin n praying it'll be good,as ive just found out ive low estrogen n will probs av 2 start clomid ...... u shud ask "aflight83! Hi Rachelle

I had my first appointment for investigations in December 2007 and was put on the NHS waiting list in July 2008 - the waiting time for me is now 13 months (I'm in NI). A lot of it depends where you live - other parts of NI have a waiting time of approx 11 months but the health board area I am in is 13 months. As you may remember before I went on my holidays I am now going private so hopefully will have treatment in a couple of months ...

Enjoy your holiday and speak to you when you get back.

xx

Hey guys

Well holiday was lovely and chilling, no stressing about what lies ahead or anything - at least not until MIL rang this morning and starting going on about IUI etc. and how she had read up on stuff. I felt so anxious after 30 mins of her on the phone i've now asked DH to get her to back off.

Well will ring docs tomorrow for an appointment and also enquire time scales etc. as DH's doc seemed to think a referral would take 4-6 weeks but who knows!

Fingers crossed things progress and i will definitely try that macca stuff - since the only problem is his count hopefully it will work on it!! xxx

u shud defo try the maca how ever it can take 2-3mth to see a difference...u find aflight83 (anna) and she will tell u, her dh got his sperm count up by 45% i think it was!! thats with takin maca, excercise n eating healthy...my dh had low testostrone and 2mth later after taking maca there now totally normal, we get hi sperm results 2moro...praying there guna be good otherwise weve a lot of hard wrk infront of us ....very best of luck hun and u sound extremley positive :)
