Morning ladies,
I just had a really bad sneeze...tried to stop it but I couldn't...got shooting pain through bottom of my abdomen and through VJJ...abdomen pain pretty much went straight away but VJJ still feels slightly strange...has anyone else had this? Got worried bubs would come shooting out

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Shamelessly bumping my own thread as would be good to hear from someone xx

I have not had this hun sorry but did not want to read and run. I get this is I walk too fast or stand up to quick. If it does not calm down soon just give your mw a ring and they will tell you. hope everything is okay xxxx

Sounds like "round ligament pain" - these are the ligaments supporting your uterus.

I get it if I sneeze too.

If you are worried check with your MW.

I get this sometimes when i sneeze, i find i have to hold onto my bump when i sneeze to stop it from hurting too much. x

I get it I sneeze then scream lol! Really hurts :( it's round ligament pain...

Xxx

I get it too but it tends to go away pretty quickly. It may be ligament pain as suggested but if it doesn't calm or lessen def give your MW a call to see what her thoughts are.

I got this last time, and I've been having it from much earlier on this time, it's horrid! I was just doubled over in pain in the kitchen because I sneezed!

me too - of if i have a really big, unexpected cough! i was really worried when it first happened, thought i was dislodging bubs but spoke to my mw and she said its all normal :)

I surrer from allergies and we are having work done. Have been told by the doc to stay outta the house as much as possible as sneezing is so painful and once it goes once it hurts more and more each time. Mine is the round ligament, if you can try to lie down on your left side slightly bent untill pain has gone if not definatly sit down for a couple of mins. Its really horrible and I am affraid other that taking a low dose antihistamine there is nothing that can help. Sorry!

I had that the first four months. I sneeze a lot now that I'm pregnant (must be to even notice it) and at first it did come with this shooting pain. It was definitly unpleasant enough to double over and once I knew I was pregnant it had me worried for a while but my doc also says it's round ligament pain, all the stretching and stuff going on in there... Lie back and give your tum a rub where it hurt, not really much more you can do.

Thanks girls it went after a short while! It just sucked bad for the time it was there!xxxxx

I don't get sharp pains when I sneeze...however this is quite embaressing... but I squirt a tiny amount of pee whenever I sneeze or cough. I think my bladder is getting weaker by the month! :p

Yeah i've taken to wearing those 'tena' pant nappy type things... highly embarrassing...but I am a teacher and I think it would be more embarrassing to wet myself mid lesson in front of a load of teenagers!!

I get really bad abdo pain when I sneeze - didn't realise it was ligament pain or how common it was.

I had this the other day it really hurt!! i didnt let it worry me to much tho cos it went pretty much straight away. glad to have it explained tho xoxox

Yep, it happens me all the time. I get a sharp pain in one or both my sides if I sneeze or cough too hard, turn suddenly in bed, get up too quick etc. Its painful and can be quite worrying but its just what they call round ligament pains so its just stretching pains basically. Don't worry about it :)

I get this too when I sneeze or have a big cough! Glad to know I'm not the only one.

Its normal I get this too.. if I feel a sneeze or big cough I put my arms around bottom of bump for support and the pain part does not happen.
