Haven't posted on here much but always on here reading everyone's posts and reading other birth stories realy helped calm me down about the labour! so thought I'd post my birth story. :)

Was arranged to be induced on 23/05/2012 at 40+4 as little man was measuring on the small side- not gonna lie was absolutely shitting myself about being induced!
Anyway watchin corrie the night before, started to feel my tightenings, no painful at all. Had a chippy, got myself more n more worked up about the induction in the morning. Started feeling period type pains about 8ish. Turned into uncomfy but not painful contractions 5 mins apart. So took some paracetomol, had a bath n started to watch Gordon Ramsey lol this is hen they started to become painful, didn't think it was the start of anything tho. Tried to go bed, couldn't sleep n at about midnight they started becoming regular and 3 mins apart but they still weren't that painful. OH made me ring hosp, he made me go in lol and it's a bloody good job he did because got there and was 7cm.
Couldn't believe it!
Didn't have any pain relief as gas n air was shit so waited til I was 8-9cm then had pethadine which was bloody brilliant. He was born an hour later and Altho the pushing felt never ending, it only lasted 20 mins.

So altogether from starting to feel pain till he was born was 4 hours 7 mins.
Bailey James Rough was born at 4.07am on the 22/05/2012 at 6lb 4oz :)
He is blood beautiful and couldn't have wished for a better labour after being so scared. Had 2 stitches but not in any pain at all, went out walking the day after and apart from a bit of backache feel brilliant :)

Enjoy your babies everyone :) xx
