This is something my husband is seriously considering, the business he ran i think he is going to make that bankrupt as things are not going to plan with the merge with another company - long story.

And also he works 60+ hours a week drives from york to dorset and here there and everywhere. But as soon as the wages come in they go out again, and our tax credits have gone down this yea which doesnt help.
So we are basically surviving month to month.
Hubby hasnt been paid by the merger company for the past 4 months but they are working to sort it out so we are trying not to go unemployed, we have been living on saving which have now run out...
we have two mortgages, two cars and a bike on finance.

so we are thinking we will have end up renting or end up in a council house.

Hi hypnorm,
i faced going bankcrupt a few yrs ago due to my x long story. but i was recommened cap. they are a fantastic charity based organisations. they deal with all my debts, talk to every one etc. I am now nearly debt free. they will look at if bank crupt is best option. if not u have stuff classed as priority debt eg morgage etc that must be paid, and then other debts get pushed to bottomnb and may only get £1 week. they work out wat u need to live realisticly then work out wats left to sort debt out.

they are really good. have a look at website and maybe give them a call for advise. the last thing they want to happen is for people to loose there home xx

thank, but they dont have a centre near us. will have a look through their website.

I do all mine over phone or email. Not an office near me. Worth looking. or asking for advise.

Hi!! Me and my OH went bankrupt last year and we were discharged on 28 April 2010!! We had nearly 30 grand in debt and were really really struggling especially with our baby on the way at the time there was no way we could afford our bills when he was born! It was quite stressful and scary when we were going through the process of the Court and the Official Reciever but once all the paperwork was sorted we weren't bothered by anyone and now are completely debt free.

We also were able to keep our house as there was no equity in our properly so we bought the beneficial interest for £1!!!!

Feel free to PM if you wanna ask me anything!

Hope you are ok!! I know how you will be feeling at the moment but you will find a way to sort things out!

xxx
