I've been reading that a sudden drop in atmospheric pressure, which usually indicates a storm is coming, sometimes causes women to go into labor. This happened with me with my first. A severe hailstorm came on a clear day and the hospital staff said they were swamped with deliveries that day.

Anyone got a storm coming up?

also, does anyone know if there's a website that forecasts the atmospheric pressure? I'd be interested in looking at it but can't find anything when I searched. I know we're supposed to get heavy rain here on friday, but it's already cloudy and cold and wet so I don't know if it counts as a sudden drop.

How about that... we have a storm to start shortly after midnight tonight. I guess we'll see if there's any truth to it!

I'll be watching for a thread from you. I think it will also depend on if your body is already getting ready... Mine was at 38+5 and it was a big thunder and lightning with golf ball hail in the middle of a clear sunny afternoon.

Thanks! No idea what my body is doing to be honest hahaha.

I'm at 2cm, 50% effaced and head down (not yet engaged but it's my second and they say she may not engage until delivery.) Had a sweep yesterday morning and some contractions during the night. Nothing too exciting though.
