So , Who is having a BBQ this weekend?

the weather is great for it here (UK)

Im having one Sunday.

What essentials do we all include in our bbq?

I love Chicken on skewers (i dont know if i have spelt that right!) with Veg.

I am having one tonight but we have got the bare minimum;

Burgers
Sausages
Jacket Pots
Corn on the cob
Buns
Cheese
Cucumber
Lettuce
Onion

And the all important ketchup

Burgers, hot dogs, potato salad, leafy salad, chicken drumsticks, cheese slices, fruit salad, ice poles..... Nom!

We are having one tomorrow!

Fran and I will have burgers, sausages, maybe some chicken. Steve is veggie so will have veggie burgers and sausages. Then there will be new potatoes, cheese, cobs and some salad as well as something nice for pudding.

I had a BBQ last night. Was yum. I love burgers,hotdogs,salad, chicken skewers.

I really wish we were, but we foolishly bought a gas bbq last year instead of a cheaper coal one (DH really wanted a gas one) and we still don't have a bloody gas bottle!! At £30 for the bottle and another £30 to fill it we just don't have money laying around to get one either *sigh*

So nope, this nice weather is going to pass without a bbq here this weekend. Jealous of you ladies that are having one!!

thats so expensive! What about one of those disposable ones from the supermarkets? Sometimes they are like £5.

I dont have a garden where i live so we have to go to OH'S mothers house to have one lol x

pork sausages
minted lamb sausages
apple & pork sausages
burgers
lamb chops
lamb burgers
chicken skewers
prawn skewers
veg skewers
beef stakes
lamb skewers
veggie burgers
veggie sausages
chicken breast

sausage/burger buns
potato salad
new potatos in a mint & butter sauce
leafy salad
ice berg lettuce, cherry toms, raddishes, cucumber, apple, cellery & onions.
various sauces & pickled onions,eggs & gherkins etc..
coleslaw (sp?)

then pudding:
eton mess
fruit salad
ice creams
cheese cakes
pavalova (sp?)

then a nice pint of apple cider to wash it down!!

nom!!!

and thats the bare minimum she does :-S


OH MY GOD! i forgot the banana with melted choc buttons or mars bars inside *slaps wrist* how can i forget those!!!!!!

My grandad used to do bananas on the bbq, and he would put chocolate and brandy on them then top them with cream - yummy!!!

My oh and I had a Braai yesterday .
Lamb chops, Lamb filet and a sausage that looks similar to boerewors (well it isnt but at least shares the looks. I also made a nice potato salad with it .

We're having one today but it's only for the 3 of us, not for everyone

We've got:

Minted lamb burgers
Quarter pounders
Hotdogs
Kebab thingies on sticks (3 different kinds)
And a nice cold bottle of wkd to wash it down with

I'm so jelous i wan't a bbq.
My local asda had no bread buns left today everyone was going mental and they were like calm down were baking some more LOL! it was chaos!

Disposible bbqs are £2 in tesco.
The shops were battered over the weekend so our bbq was a bit rubbish.
