Hello ladies- I am new to temping. FF says my temperature fluctuations are considered high it has me concerned. I was diagnosed with PCOS but have lost 100 lbs to help fertility. Periods are regular now unlike before.

No positive OPK yet but clear temp shift today. Is it possible I ovulated without a positive OPK? I'm pretty good about taking them everyday although time is inconsistent. I am temping vaginally bc I am a mouth breather. Could anything effect the temps and make me warmer? Like being wrapped in blankets?? I was cold last night and my dog was sleeping on my legs so maybe extra body heat??

The high temps initially were during af. I heard its normal to have higher temps during this time. Low temps are normally 96 something lowest is 96.1 then big jump today to 97.1

I should mention I fall asleep around 1 or 2 am and temp at 5:30 am so I'm trying to make sure I get at least 3 hours of sleep

Here is my chart.

I'm no expert on temping but one temp shift isn't an indication of anything because like you said, lots of factors can play into a single temp. It takes three temp rises in a row for FF to place crosshairs. That being said it's very possible to ovulate and miss your lh surge for example if you have a short surge it might not be caught if you only test once a day. You also may not have concentrated enough urine when testing. Even time of day can play a roll in it. For me smu is the best to test, other it's FMU or at night.
Wow that was a lot lol hope that helps. Again I'm no expert and it's different for everyone this is all just what I've learned on my Ttc journey.

Good luck! And congrats on the weight loss that's amazing!

Hello! It's hard to say. When I ovulate, my temp rise is way higher than the highest point on my chart (not including when AF is because I tend to have higher temps during that time). Everyone is so different though. I would wait and see what your next few temps are like. I know that it is possible to miss your positive opk if you only do it once a day. I usually start testing twice a day when I start noticing ewcm (which happens to me 5-6 days before I ovulate) once around noon and then later in the afternoon at like 4-5. For some reason my body only gives me positives later in the afternoon, so if I only tested at noon, then I probably would've missed that. Are you using strip tests or a digital opk? I definitely recommend splurging on the digital if you aren't already using that. The strips confused me so much! Anyway, I also temp vaginally. I don't find that if I'm too warm that it throws my temps off. I thought maybe it would, but the other night I was roasting and I was already on the downward swing towards AF (boo!!). FF is tricky though with cross hairs sometimes. The one month that I actually temped at the same time every day it never gave me cross hairs, but I know that I ovulated because of my positive opk and I had a chemical pregnancy. Then this month I'm just doing it whenever I wake up because I always have to potty during the night (it's a curse lol) so my temps are a little more sporadic, but this month it gave me cross hairs lol. Good luck and keep us updated!

Thanks so much ladies! My temps seem to be all over the place I had two temps at 97.1 and 97 then today it dropped to 96.6. FF says my temps are too high in fluctuations.

I am sad to think my PCOS is still a mess. I was hoping it would be "resolved" with the weight loss. Ugh.

hello! You can definitely miss an lh surge if you have a surge overnight. You don't have cross hairs yet so you don't know if you O'd. Keep on testing. Remember temping is about looking at the forest not the trees, you need to temp for a couple months before you notice your unique pattern.
