BCG Vaccination scar

Skyler's scar is in the middle of his upper arm and not on the top of the arm.Am so upset as the scar is quite big.Do these scars fade over time or will he be stuck with it?

over here we don't tend to get our BCGs until high school (and I actually think they might've stopped giving them now!) Mine has faded to almost nothing. Unless it gets inected I think they heal really well. He might have a little white dot there forever but I'm sure it'll get much better.

We follow the US vaccination schedule here,so he got it 2 days after birth.I dont have a scar but my sister's scar can be seen however at least it's in the right position!

I'm sure he'll heal better because it was done so young. Try not to worry

My daughter had her BCG injection a couple of days after she was born and she is nearly 4. The scar is there but it is fading. You only have to look for it to see it.

I am sure Skyler's scar will get much better.

It should fade but if not try rubbing a little bio oil on it! xx
