Hi, I had keyhole surgery to remove my ectopic pregnancy on 1/15/16 at 6 weeks. I did not lose my tube as my doctor said that my baby was growing on the fimbria which is at the opening of the tube where the egg first enters after leaving the ovary.

So I am 2 weeks and 5 days post op and DH and I just BD for the first time last night. I am wondering what it was like for those of you who have had this same thing happen. I had pressure from internal bleeding before my op and it kind of brings back that same painful pressure when we BD. When did this go away for you? I dont want it to hurt forever!

I had an ectopic, although mine was treated with methotrexate and discovered just shy of 6 weeks because i started to bleed. I also did not lose my tube. I continued to bleed for nearly four weeks. My emotional state paired with the constant bleeding and fear of pain pretty much prevented bd until about 3 weeks in and then we were pretty gentle. I think it took another two weeks before I didn't feel any pressure again. I'm sure everyone is different but it almost felt like an internal bruise to me with sharp undertones every once in a while. And FYI, I ovulated about 5 days after I stopped bleeding and HCG hit zero. This came as a big surprise to me and we had Bd'd three times as if trying to get pregnant first cycle. Which we were not, I just didn't expect to ovulate that early. So, be careful :)

I'm very sorry to hear about your loss. Ectopics are so traumatizing:sadangel:

Thanks so much for replying. Its good to hear that it eventually went away. I was so worried about it because it was pretty uncomfortable. Also I will watch out on the O'ing! I do track my temp and FF thinks I will O this friday but I dont think so because I just started bleeding again.. I had a 3 day break then it returned.

I also am sorry for your loss. It was more traumatizing than i initially thought it would be. It caught up with me a few days after my surgery.
