Beaker/cup?

Just started giving LO some baby rice (not looking for opinions on earlyish weaning or anything, this was on the advice of HV etc, wasn't overly keen as kind of want to BLW...but anyway!!)

I've been reading a book about weaning, and trying to follow their recommended gradual weaning week by week timetable...and it says to start giving them their milk out of a cup...(think they mean a beaker type thing, as that's all I saw in the shop!)...so bought one, but he just seems so young for it, am I 'supposed' to use one?? Have never seen people using them, so just not sure..any opinions??

I put water in Olivias sippy cup and help her hold the handles while I tip it, im still giving her milk out the bottle as they are still pretty young and wont get enough out of the cup, but In the coming months I will start to use the sippy cup more and more, your LO will show you when they are ready to use a cup
