Bed sharing advice...

We want to bed share but it hasn't been working out so well. Our bed is very soft so we tried a humanity co-sleeper. The problem is that my weight brings the bed down and then he rolls into me, which doesn't work so well.

Then we tried a first years close and secure sleeper but he seems to HATE it. I was thinking of seeing if he prefers a snuggle nest.

Does anyone have any suggestions on making it work with a softer bed?

Would it not be cheaper to buy a new mattress than all these things?! ;-)

Could you get a firm matresses topper? We have a firm bed, but it must be harder in a softer bed
