Bedtime

5.45am is fab!!!! Heres hoping the sleeping through the night continues!! lol

Woohoo Go Jessica! What did you feed her before bed??? I wanna know her secret lol

For 2 nights in a row Ella has been sleeping for 8pm Monday night, 7pm last night, up for a feed at midnight then sleeping through to 7am yesterday morning 6am this morning. Cant really complain at that either. :happydance: Quite liking the 7am rather than 6am! Must try and keep her awake for that extra hour lol. Thanks for the advice Foogirl. I'll see how this goes with her new routine. No doubt it'll all change again once she's over her wee chest infection! :dohh:

Thats fab Dasy dear, I wonder if we can persuade them to add on long lies!!! lol. She did take quite a lot of food for her supper last night so maybe that was what helped as there is no feeding her just now!!!

Foo - If I had a video monitor I might as well get rid of the telly!!!! lol
 The novelty does wear off I promise. We found it such a godsend, especially when she got to the point where she stopped crying when she woke up. She would lie there for hours if we didn't go in and get her. (I know this because on occasion I over slept and it was 8 - 8.30 before I went in to get her and I know she would never sleep past 7!
We have a Winnie the Pooh thing that does that, it projects onto the ceiling and plays music, the problem is from the first night we put it on, she doesnt sleep, she just lies awake watching it! hehe.
We've got that one. It is fab, we still use it for Abby. I think I will hum that tune forever!

Glad the nights are going well!

Unfortunately you can't feed Ella what I fed Abby - I noticed having stew with guinness in it made her sleep much longer when I was BFing. Then we would put guinness in the mince. I swear if I could have worked out a way to get guinness into salad, I'd have done it!! Not sure you could put it in a bottle though:haha:

As for keeping her awake, by all means give it a go - but I will tell you it didn't work for us. She was so buggered by the time we put her to bed she couldn't sleep. I remember my grandma once saying "sleep encourages sleep" Once we realised she was TOO tired to sleep we would always make sure she got enough naps. Morning length will improve with time and you've got an excellent opportunity for things to shift with the clock change coming up!!

Well we put Jessica down at about 8.30 tonight and we havent heard a peep since. Fingers crossed!!! xxx

ETA - but the monitor is beeping so I know she is still breathing!!

Maybe I should get the guinness out then and try and get Holly sleeping longer.

14 months tomorrow and since she came home in April she has slept from 8-6:30 once and that was 10 days ago but has never repeated it!

Abby will have to talk to her at the next meeting about this waking up and lying in her cot for a bit! Hollys motto is I am up so everybody is up

Seriously, give it a go! It worked a treat!

I will ask Abby to have a word, but Holly will probably toddle off and Abby can't follow.
