Ladies, I don't normally post in here as I've been focusing on our wedding to try and distract me from the issue of us not getting :bfp: yet and trying to lose weight.

Af is heavily affected by my weight and since starting to lose weight through the dr, after a 9 month break of no bleeding, spotting has started once a month and seemed to get more regular. Though this cycle is worrying me I have to say

I had spotting on the 8th of this month, I didn't pay too much attention to how long the spotting lasted, but I've had about 4 days now of almost constant light flow that I can remember. So on and off it's been 10 days since the bleeding / spotting started.

I was an idiot and went on google and the only things that I could see mentioned was pregnancy / cysts or menopause

My oh says I should test to rule anything out (even though I'm not too keen on this idea) and then if there's no change I plan on going back to the dr on thursday. :nope:

Has anyone had anything similar or could offer any advice?

When I first went to see my GP he said that because of my weight and the fact that I had such long cycles I might not be ovulating - therefore the womb lining just builds up and up until it's so thick it ends up in AF - if ther 's so much there it could account for the long time AF has been going on??? Just a thought?

Sorry if this is tmi - I'll put it in a spoiler just in case

the flow hasn't had any clots in, it's just been a light pink / occassionally a bit darker red flow

But what you say does make a lot of sense hun :hugs:

Will see if there's any change by thursday, just hope I don't need another blood test - they really freak me out

You were worried about tmi after what I'd just said?!!!!

Keep me updated xx

 af is almost gone hun :yipee: , there was nothing on my pad this morning from when I changed it before bed, just a tiny bit of colour to the tissue paper ... so panic over.

Guess I should be thankful that it seems like I might have had a fairly normal cycle :dohh:  bloody typical though, my body gets me all worked up and worried for nothing :haha:

With anovulatory cycles you can expect spotting/bleeding practically at any time. It generally doesn't mean that something's wrong, just that your uterine lining has a mind of its own, when to stay and when to go.

Kudos on having such awesome distraction!! :D

Looks like my body was gearing up to give me a full blown af (the first one for ages). Sorry for tmi, but have now got quite a heavy flow with a few clots in. Not sure whether to cry because I'm not pregnant or to be happy that it's a proper cycle

junk food, bed and gilmore girls for me tonight, af is getting heavier, so it's a proper, full blown af  feeling super sorry for myself, but also kinda chuffed that it's a proper one :D
