What happens when you go?
The problem seems to lie with me long cycles, bleeding for weeks at a time when my period comes, not ovulating but blood tests and ultrasounds at the Drs have been fine.
The dr did say that although they may find out what's wrong with me because I already have a 2 year old they wouldn't be able to do anything to help us on the nhs.

So just wondering what happens at the first appointment etc.

At my first appointment they repeated all the bloods the GP had done, went through my history and did an internal scan. For me this showed PCO even though I had no other symptoms so we went from there.

In my trust you can only have one free go of IVF but you can have some treatment even if you have a child. My second child was another clomid baby fully funded on the NHS.

Even if they do refuse you fertility treatment ask to be referred to a gynae as your symptoms aren't normal. This is how I initially got referred as if only been trying 6 months but my symptoms and history showed something was wrong. The dr them referred me to himself at the fertility clinic. Even if they can't give you FT they could do some of the investigations under the gynae banner.

Thank you for your reply, well the dr said that all the would do for me is refer me to the specialist or put me on the pill which obviously isn't what I wanted. And I just really want to know what's going on in there, as like you said the symptoms are not normal.
I do have the symptoms of PCOS always have done but like I said blood work and scan by the Dr was fine she said they could just label me with PCOS but it would be better to have it investigated, which I really want.

Two different GPs told me I didn't have PCOS based on my blood results then the FS said I had a classic PCOS hormone profile. I asked why GPs wouldn't have picked it up, he looked a bit uncomfortable and said they're not all specialists or up to date. My scan was really clear though so I'd say if you've been scanned it should be ok but keep in mind GPs train in a broad number of topics
