Had 20 week scan on Saturday.... The technician was wonderful. He noticed that I breathing heavily and asked if I was okay...that's when I realized how anxious I probably was (although I was a LOT more relaxed than during my big ultrasound in my first pregnancy - was practically shaking, then!). Anyway, thankfully everything looked good and was on track - was sooo relieved and thankful! the baby was very active - I could see it jumping around a lot on the ultrasound - although I couldn't feel most of the movements, strangely. I asked him about that...because sometimes I think I'm feeling this baby less than with my 1st, but he said my placenta is anterior right...so guess that explains it!
Because the baby was so active he said, "this has got to be a boy!"....turns out he was right! To be honest, I was a little disappointed as I was rooting for another girl - DH and DD too. But I'm warming up slowly to the idea of having a boy.
Just thankful above all that everything looks good. I realize now that I've been anxious at all my scans...and just hoping I can relax now and fully embrace this pregnancy.

and I found out I'm having a boy too yay. I was the same , secretly hoping for another girl but my husband is over the moon he always wanted a boy and I'm actually sooo happy now. It's a relief after the scan knowing all is ok. I was soooo nervous too, and I've got some tender spots on my tummy which I think is where my ligaments are stretching they really hurt if I apply pressure so the scan really hurt me 
I didn't say anything though I just put up with it as I knew she had to do all the checks. Baby is in an awkward position though, feet down and back to back so had to keep moving around for her to see the spine. I also have an anterior placenta, I asked where abouts it was and she said at the top so I'm assuming that's good and why I feel most movement low down.
