We've been trying for 10 months, since we got married, to conceive our first child and lo and behold, still nothing. I am new at the the whole forum thing and am dying to have some support from people in a similar situation. I am all kinds of aggravated with my wonky cycles and waiting on appts with my OB/GYN I can't help but feel like we are never going to get there and I feel like it would be helpful to have a thread where we can provide positive support for one another and share our experiences in our journey to become first time mommies.

Wonderful! Also, I apologize for my inefficiency with technology. I'm a bit of a slow learner. So what's your story, if you don't mind my asking?

Hubby(30) and I(30) have been married 3 yrs and I've been off depo provera since last sept and my cycles finally regulated again in Jan/Feb. We're TTC but not full blast. I use the app fertility friend(FF)and it helps a lot knowing when you ovulate(O). We decided not using OPK(ovulation predictor kit) s until we go full blast TTC so for now I chart my basal body temp(BBT)and(tmi) my cervical fluids(CM). I would show you my BBT chart but I don't know how. I'm a 29 day cycle with 4-5 days being AF. I too would like supporters because I'm a worry wart and get antsy. I'll try anything to keep my mind off the dreaded 2 week wait(TWW). Other than that if you choose not to chart anything my ob said to BD(have sex) every other to every 2 days from the day AF is gone to about the day she's supposed to pop up. Anyways that's my story and if you have any questions feel free to ask. We use a lot of abbreviations on here and it can get confusing.

I really appreciate all the info on abbreviations, I am just now starting to get used to it. On top of that, you seem very well-versed in this area of expertise. It's wonderful to have someone to talk to who doesn't think I'm crazy for wanting to conceive. My husband and I are trying to be low key about conception because he doesn't want it to become a clinical process. I don't temp or chart, we just bd at least every other day until af. Of course the moment we started ttc, my cycles have gotten all mixed up and are never the same twice. I've been to my general practitioner and am now seeing an OB/GYN but they keep telling me that my cycles are fine. So I am frustrated to say the least. I can never seem to tell when af should be so I end up getting excited just to be let down again. Here's to hoping this month is the one, right?

Hi:wave: May I join you? This is cycle 4 for us and I am a worrywart. Me and fiance' will both turn 27 in August. Hope to get a :bfp: as a present:blush: We dtd at least eod and agreed on not using opks yet. I am irregular and my ob/gyn said there may be an issue but to try a year before coming back to him:dohh:
Good luck to all:dust:

:happydance:Sure, by all means join! The more the merrier. I'm sure it won't be too long before all of us get that special little present we're all hoping for. So as an update on myself: I am supposed to be starting af in 2 days, but we know by now that my cycles are impossible. I had af at the beginning of the month that was much lighter than usual followed by a normal week that ended with some pg symptoms. Well I took a test and of course bfn :growlmad: Then less than two days later I started spotting and haven't stopped and it's been almost 2 weeks. I keep imagining I have all these pg signs (strange fullness, constipation, feeling crampy, nausea, exhaustion) even tho I got a negative and I have to convince myself not to poas again. I need to accept that it was probably the pms of my very strange and aggravating cycle. I have an OB/GYN appt on Tuesday, so maybe we can get some of this mess sorted out... How are you guys progressing?

Good morning( well it is morning here)!
Today is cd 12 for me and I keep getting pre-af cramps. I wish my body was more co-operative...
Have a great day!

Sorry about your cramps magrat. I am supposed to start af tomorrow and today I stopped spotting for the first time in two weeks. I think both our bodies need a good kick start. Hope your day was wonderful as well!

No af and no bfp, looks like I got excited again for nothing. On the bright side, appt tomorrow! How are you?

Hi! Good luck with the appt! I am ok I think. It is only cd 17 for me so mostly bd-ing and hoping.

Howdy! Seems like you're doing the important part haha ;) Anways, I was told that the baseline is I need blood work, finally. Hopefully that will give me some answers and make this a lot easier, not to mention I won't have to live with the witch two times a month, just once, and hopefully not at all! So that's what I'm off to do tomorrow and hopefully the blood glucose test comes out negative for diabetes. Progress!! Good luck in the fun part of the journey, have fun and make it count!! :dust: for you!

Thanks! FX the results are good! Good for you for getting some answers:thumbup: I will try a few more cycles before going to the doctor. I guess I am afraid of hearing some bad news:shrug:
Where did Angel go?!

People often disappear from threads. Sometimes you need a break.

And some people just pop in uninvited :winkwink:

I'm also in the ten month zone, been trying off and on. Started to temp in January and everything always seems to look good...but no luck. I'm 30 and have been in this relationship for over 10 years so doing the BD doesn't happen as often as it used to. I think I'm going to try an OPK this cycle and see if it illuminates anything.
I also have no OB GYN or doctor, so I'd have to go to a clinic to get any work done if it's needed.
I haven't told anyone we're trying because I just don't feel like talking to people about. At first I think it was so I could surprise people, but now that it's taking so long I'm glad I haven't mentioned it.

Welcome treeroot!
I didn't want anyone to know but df told his parents so I decided mine should know too. He told our best man and now I don't know how many of his friends know.
Man can't keep a secret:dohh:
