hi can any one please help i am on incapacity due to my disability and put a claim in for income support to claim for my partner and we are due baby end of sept and was wondering what other entitlements i maybe able to get please and roughly how much just so i know if possible. i am so worried i am going to be claiming house benefit and council tax

child tax credit u will get aswell hun, bout £20 a wk, u wud get housing and council tax benifit x

is your partner working? Or is he caring for you? cos he can claim carers allowance which he will get on top of his income support. Regardless of your DLA and ICB. My partner receives it as I am disabled too. We get child tax credit too. Child benefit which you will get once LO is here. We get help with rent and council tax too. And thats basically what we get.

:hugs:

CTC will be about £40-£60 a week due to the fact benefits is your only income. I think it currently stands at £40ish a week but then you get £20ish a week for the under one allowance HTH

no he isnt working at the moment how do we go about carers allowance how long does that take

For your OH to get carers allowance you must be in receipt of higher or middle rate of the care component of DLA. The weekly rate is £53.10 however the income support that you've applied for could be be affected so you might want to phone the benefit advice number to see if it's worth applying for carers their number is 0800 88 22 00 . To apply for carers just ring 01253 856 123

check out entitledto.com

You may be entitled to DLA - if so your OH may be entitled to carers allowance (depending on levels of award). Be aware though that half of the carers allowance is taken into account for means tested benefits, whereas DLA isn't.

If you get IS, you should get full council tax and housing benefits (full housing benefit being the maximum award for your situation).

hi i get disability living allowance only the motability part though

If you only get the mobility component, your OH won't be entitled to carers allowance (cause you don't get the care component).
