benefits help?

Hi ya, can any help me with advice to what benefits will i be entitled to as a singleton if i give up work, dont want to go back to work straight away?

income support or Income based job seekers allowance, child benefits, n ermm not to sure on others x

Income support from about 11 weeks before your due date if I remember correctly, you should also get Child Tax Credits and Child Benefit.

With job seekers.. i'm not sure you can get it, if you give up work..

Yeh you only get Job seekers when ur actively seeking work!!

You'd defo get Income support, Child Tax Credit & Child benefit!!

You Also may be able to get Maternity Allowance. When I made my claim for income support the other day they told me I might be eligiable as i've worked in the last 66 weeks before the babys due date!!

Oh & you should be able to claim Sure Start Maternity Grant & get help with rent & council tax

Tax credits is the general name, there are 2 types - Working Tax credits and Child Tax credits..

hi girls i am new,

really wondering if sum1 cud help me i am now a single mum!, i already have a little boy whos nearly 3 and have just found out a few weeks ago that i am pregnant again wiv my ex's baby (hes the dad to my boy aswell), it was a 1 nite stand and am preg again, thats fine anyways coz i have dealt wiv that and no way can i be wiv my ex again. but i havent told the benefits agency that im pregnant, i have forgot last time round, but do i need to now tell them im pregnant again and also what am i entitled too?
i am currently gettin income support coz me and my boy live on our own and gettin child benefit and child tax credit, but just wondered, do i need to tell them im pregnant again? i think i will be able to get child tax credit maybe not sure and also has any1 been in my position? are the benefits agency nosey coz im worryed what they mite say, obviously i am single and gettin income support but i am preg again so i dont no what to say to them dont rele wanna say it was a 1nite stand that sounds awful but it is the truth, ur obviously allowed to have a boyfriend and do what ya like as long as they dont live wiv ya aint it?
