Isabelle was born with positional talipes. We did the exercises they gave us and her feet unfurled by about 6 to 8 weeks, apart from one toe which curves to the left and sits under the next toe. Well, the health visitor said this would correct itself when she started walking but she's been walking almost six months now and it hasn't. Should I bring this up again? Bearing in mind it would need a special visit? It doesn't bother her but I wonder if it could cause permanent damage, or if I'm just being stupid and its only cosmetic?

Oneof my ex boyfriends had similar, his toe was almost at a right angle behine another one. He said itnever causedhim any problem his whole life. It didnt bother me, but dont get me started on what did bother me ha ha xx

Certainly can't hurt to ask... I know it's not the same, but both my pinky toes curl in and rest a bit under the toe next to them. Always has- and even though it doesn't typically bother me, on occassion it can rub raw and hurt if I don't have the right shoes. Just an irritation- but would honestly be nice if it wasn't like that. Prob nothing to be worried about if it's not bothering her- but if there was an easy fix, might be good to at least check it out? Not at all stupid hun... we are parents, it's our job to be detailed :)

I have one that curls under another too. It doesn't hurt or affect me at all.

My daughter has the same and was born with talipes (she had ponseti treatment) we've been told to stretch it gently into the correct position morning and night in an attempt to stretch the tendon. We've done it for ages now and it hasn't really made a difference. Her consultant has said that if it bothers her he can give a local anaesthetic and make a tiny cut underneath to release the tendon xx

My lo had bilateral (both feet) talipes and his toes are like that. We regurally see the orthopaedic surgeon who has never had any concerns about his toes. Lo also wears orthopaedic shoes throughout the day. Is lo still in boots n bars? Or just at night time?

My ohs feet are like this. X

All of my toes curl under the others...I have some problems with my pinky toe, as the toe i5 curls under has issues with nail growin into it...on both feet. Some days its extremly painful, but other days its fine. I've learned to live with it.

Jaxon has my feet and his toes do the same thing. He walks fine, we just watch that one toe nail to make sure it doesnt grow into the other

Thanks ladies, I guess the consensus is not to be too worried unless there is pain or it affects walking... :)
