i read somewhere not to use ones with arms, something to do with overheating and breathing in re-circulated air:shrug:

Im sure I heard that also so I've taken the arms off, but last night it was so cold I did think about putting them back on....Im so paranoid of her over heating!!! x

Not sure on the tog, will be 2.5 max, not sure why you wouldnt use the arms? We use sleeping bags and summer wears a sleepsuit under it, sometimes her arms are still a little cold so would be good to have arms on the sleeping bag :-)

Sleeping bags with arms are fine, why wouldn't they be? I don't have one but would use one.

it would be lovely and cosy for her, not sure what to do really.....her little arms are cold at night....If its 2.5 max thats good to know...Thankyou...

What about the arms being extra big is that OK? x

I'd say as long as she definitely can't wriggle down inside the bag then it's fine.

yep ive used a purflo long sleeved bag with Ruby.. its fine so long as shes not too warm

I think it has something to do with the fact that there is very little outlet for heat, old air etc to escape, as its all zipped up round the bottom. The arm holes allow more air circulation than the holes at the bottom of the sleeves as those are smaller.

I could of course be talking complete rubbish:blush: its just that I did a bit of research a while a go as I was worried about Rose getting cold arms. I decided against the ones with arms after I looked into it.

Also I wondered why one of the most popular brands, grobag, does not do them with arms? Wondered if the above had anything to do with it or not.

i read in one of the Gro Bag catalogues that all sleeping bags with arms were being taken off sale as they were dangerous and it was going to be made law soon ..... i also think its something to do with overheating
