My LB is nearly 1, will he be ok to eat strawberries or blueberries now? I brought some to give him and googled it and it seems strawberries are high allergy risk? :flower:

My boy one next week and he's been having these for about 2 months,I just gave him a bit at first to see how it was and all was fine

My 10 month old loves strawberries, raspberries and blueberries, so go for it. I make sure they are cut up in to small bits, and she then stuffs them into her month as quickly as possible.

Thanks ladies, hes just scoffed some strawberries!! :haha

My little one is nearly 9 months and she's been having strawberries and blueberries for about a month now. I cut them up into bits and she picks them up and sticks them straight into her mouth, she loved them! :)

Pheebs was having strawberries and blueberries for quite sometime before one xxx

Mine have all had them since 6 months old. They gave my eldest a slight rash.

We gave strawberries and blueberries (and blackberries, etc.) from the start. Strawberries actually aren't an allergy risk, per se, but they can sometimes cause a rash in the mouth or face because they are quite acidic (kinda like if you eat too much pineapple, it can make your tongue a bit sore and raw feeling). Technically, babies can be allergic to anything. My friend's son is allergic to tomatoes and aubergines. But berries are totally fine from the start. My daughter loves them. We once went through nearly a kilo of strawberries in about 4 days!
